First off, you could have avoided all this by just contacting me through the contact form or by sending me a PM.  Second of all, the picture that I posted is of a guy wearing glasses and when I found your profiel (http://www.hairlosshelp.com/websites/gallerycompare.cfm?action=tb&username=PB) on HairLossHelp.com it didn't show any pictures of you with glasses.  So, is that really you?  If so, just send me a PM letting me know that is really you and show me proof and I will gladly take it down.

I do thank you for taking the time to let me know about this as I did get to find even more information in your profile that justifies why NOT ONE MAN should ever get a hair transplant.

By the way, my post was not a fucking joke.  Men should not get a hair transplant and I feel sorry that you felt it was something you needed to do in order to live a "full life."  sh*t, you even posted a topic at another forum (http://stophairlossnow.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=1828) about people getting butchered by doctors doing hair transplants.

I look forward to your PM.

PB, from looking at your pics, you could have saved yourself an awful lot of money and certainly a great amount of time by simply shaving your hair slick bald. I hope everything that you went through with your new "hair" has improved your life.

Someone wanted a picture (this is before and one year later):

And here is a close up of my transplanted hairline - no "plugs"

Not everybody has the facial features for a shaved head - and I'm one of them, I look more like a cancer patient with a shaved head.

You're right, I did post the picture myself - no big deal.

I lost most of my hair in my 20's and now I'm almost 50 and haven't lost much hair during the last 20 years so I don't expect to suddenly lose more hair and require patching up. I have had a second HT since that picture, but just to add a bit more density to my hairline and crown.

The topic about the butcherings on stophairlossnow is to do with the UK clinics, where they are still using 80's techniques. The US is a better place for a transplant.

I have eye glasses on in some of the pictures and took them off for some of the others.

But if you'd like to see some real HT butcherings, here's a site that might interest you (note that this guy had his first butchering in 1982 and these are not modern HTs):

Warhawk, thanks for the welcome!

My first (2005) HT cost $9750, second one (2007) wasn't as expensive as it was a smaller procedure.

I tried shaving my head, but the shape of my head doesn't suit it - too large forehead, dumbo ears, eye glasses... I don't have that manly thick beard growth bald guys usually have either; which helps with the bald look (I do have beard growth but it's not the thick tough guy stubble type).

I think everybody should try shaving their head before getting a transplant - if it suits you and you feel good about yourself with a shaved head, that's great, no point in going through surgery and paying thousands of dollars for it.

Its all a vanity.....all vanity.  No way in hell i would spend close to $10,000 on a hair transplant...not to mention the money you lost from having time off from work.  I will pass, sorry but I just dont feel sorry for anyone who bust in here like he did and jump all someone for using a picture of a HT Gone Wild.  Maybe you should go see Jerry Springer.

Most things we do for our appearance is for vanity, Timmay! Yes, that includes going with the sly look. Personally, I never considered a hair transplant, for many reasons. One of them is cost, another is a guarantee that I would not find relief from the sebhorreic dermititis. Another would be perceived reactions from others that knew me as a guy suffering male pattern baldness. To have a horseshoe of hair one day and then have a full head of hair the next would seem odd. Then again, that's just me.

PB, I hope you're happy with your decision.

Well obviously I'm not going to be very popular on a sly bald guy site having had a HT. And I already admitted I was wrong to complain about my picture being used seeing as I posted it myself.

Anyway, I'm from Europe and with the current exchange rate, $10.000 is peanuts.

Here's a link John: http://www.slybaldguys.com/serendipity/archives/138-7-reasons-why-you-should-never-get-a-hair-transplant.html

The picture was around 10 days post op just after removing the sutures. The scar is nothing like that now.

And I PMd Tyler so say that he can keep my picture there if he wants - I admit I was wrong to make a fuss about it.

pb that punch graft site you posted is absurd. it made me sick to my stomach. i understand that's not how they do it nowadays (hopefully) but either way the process is pretty barbaric.  if dropping 10k every time you feel a bit insecure about yourself is your solution, then more power to ya. you certainly aren't alone, as the HT business appears to be thriving.

silicone breasts, surgically altered noses, injecting toxins into our face, punching hairs into our heads, sucking fat out of our bodies --- what's wrong w/ people?? these aren't people, these are bio-engineered robot sheep that are following what fat rich white guys tell them is "beauty"

i'll tell you what beauty is... beauty is making the best of what life gave you. beauty is confidence in yourself.. beauty is you accepting who you are and being a great person because of it...

also remember pb spent 10,000 dollars on his first surgery and from his pics he is only receeding at the temples. and even at only receeding he had to go for a second round. just think if you were loosing your hair worse what it would cost you. not to mention how many times you would have to get more scars. also the fact that most men dont stop loosing their hair as they age... but it is great that pb is being very cool and not trying to push hairtransplants. and this would be a great reference for anybody on the fence thinking about hair surgery and living with a slick bald head. even pb said to give the shaved look a try and that is coming from a guy who is happy with his hairtransplants.

I give you major kudos for this statement. You look like a young guy from your photo and you've already figured out what many people NEVER get in their whole life times.

                        Bravo to you-

Hey PB-

Good for you for admitting your mistake. I commend you for that. And I couldn't care less if you spent YOUR money on an HT. It's your money. But please realize that this Forum is all about feeling good about yourself as you are. It's about positive attitudes about us as the individuals we are. We celebrate our baldness and most if not all of love it.

That all being said....... WELCOME! I hope you find useful information here.
