Good for you, keep up the good work. My neighbor is trying to quit as well. I help him when we are out.  Some people can go it alone, but support certainly helps.

Every year, I give up abstinence for lent. It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it.  ;D

Way to go Paul!!!!  Keep it up.  Take a day at a time (hell, hours if you need to;)).  Keep those kids in mind when tempation peaks out.  Let us know how else we can help.

Seriously, I'm dreading lent this year!  A while back I made a pact to give up meat all together for the upcoming lent.  I may need some support on that when the time comes.  I’m huge carnivore.
Thought I would share that.

I can't imagine giving up meat. I just bought half a cow. I will support you about giving up meat for lent, just don't give it up forever.

Thanks!! :-) I really don't think giving up meat for the long haul will be a issue. ;D  Betsy taste good.  Babe and Arnold taste good.  Bambi taste good.  I really like meat.

Yeah, I once wound up on a blind date with a die-hard vegan. I basically used your line Paul.  I almost got murdered (interesting that a vegan who would not kill an animal almost killed me).

Vegans just flat out don't make any sense to me.  I love meat, but I understand it may not be for everybody and can respect not eating certain meats.  I don't understand how someone can live without eating any animal product, no cheese, milk, eggs or leather coats. ???
