I heard there is some nasty stuff going around this year.  The flu shot did me in.  And they say you can't get sick getting the flu shot.  Yeah right!

The one time I took it ... I had the flu twice.  The rest of the season was a non-stop cold.  AMEN Tyler

I have this argument every year at work when I decline the free flu shot that is offered to all employees.  I had a good long run of several years without ever getting sick.  I did get the flu last year and got a lot of "I told you so's" but both my parents also came down with the same bug at the same time I did and they both had the flu shot.   My Dad just got another flu shot about a month ago and his arm still hurts where they jabbed him.

I refuse to get flu shots on the grounds that they refuse to tell me what kinds of preservatives they use in it. And besides I rarely get sick.

b_freak.....it sounds like u need some bedrest, plenty of fluids, and decongestant.  take some nyquil 2nite 2 get some relief and 2 promote the bedrest.  if you're having some nasal stuffiness....try a nasal spray (AFRIN)  or apply some vick's vapor rub under your nose.  if U  R  still feeling like crap after 4-5 days then C a doctor because u might need some oral antibiotics.  anyways..... hope u feel better and let me know if my suggestions work.  i'll send the bill after the holidays.

Yo Warhawk, I heard that if you rub Vicks on the bottom of your feet at night and put on socks it makes a big difference, haven't been sick to try it yet....

just make sure you wash your hands after you do that .....i made the mistake of putting vicks rub on my sons chest and then i went to the bathroom!

champ......yes i've heard of that as well but i haven't tried doing it that way.  rubbing it under your nose and chest works 4 me....so no need 4 me 2 do it that way.  however....keep us posted if u decide 2 try it out.

Funny that you mention that.  I have another friend that told me of a time that he went to a restaraunt and was eating some spicy food covered in hot pepper.  He got an unwelcomed surprise after going to the men's room and couldn't figure out why he had such a "burning" sensation.  Just about drove him nuts (no pun intended).

Did that with my wife and some muscle rub once. Even after washing my hands I still goy some great balls of fire!!!

I dunno bro.....the sh*t that has been going around here has been lingering on for about 3 weeks.  Everyone I talk to has been battling with it for that long.  I have had it for a week now...and it comes and goes.  So a big Get Well goes out to all of those who are dealing with it.  See ya...oh yeah almost for got.... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm feeling better. Thanks for the tips and concern guys. Now it's every one else at work that sounds like a pond full of bull frogs. Never actually had one of those Froze, I'll have to try one sometime.
