This might be an interesting experiment

Those of us who have gone sly are all pretty much in agreement that we would not want to go back to having hair. We also pretty much agree that headshaving is addictive and anyone who does it for a long enough period of time will have a hard time stopping and letting their hair grow back.
Wouldn't it be fun to find someone who really doesn't want to shave his head -- preferably someone with no MPB -- but who can be persuaded to do it for a price? We could all chip in $5 or $10 to someone who shaves his head and agrees to keep it shaved daily for a specified period of time -- say six months or even a year. It would be interesting to see if the subject of the experiment would stay sly when the six months or year was up.
Just a thought ...

Really interesting idea Razor, Halloween must be getting to you. This experiment sounds like a sly version of Frankenstein. We might be creating our own monster

Very interesting science experiment, Razor .... In addition to offering a $$$ reward for participation, another angle might be to find a Psychology graduate student interested in doing a thesis on the subject. They could probably get into some heavy analysis of why this outcome (remaining sly) persists so often.
The student could probably locate a college kid as our guinea pig - maybe give him a few kegs of beer or something ...

Great idea Razor but who? Got anyone in mind? I suspect that if they are reluctant to shave to start with it might be quite expensive to persuade them to try.
I used to work with four young guys none of whom had any mpb but who all religiously shaved their heads at least once a week.
Right bunch of lads they were too & they all loved it, they all looked really good too (though I might be a bit bias) & it certainly made me feel less self-conscious about my own shaved head (which were not as common back then).
Anyway great idea

I don't know who yet, but if half of our 1,000 members participate and pledge $5 each, that is $2,000 right there. If people pledge more or if more people participate, we could easily get up to $5,000. That's a pretty big carrot to dangle in front of someone, don't you think?
So does anyone have a friend, relative or co-worker that you'd really like to make sly??

Razor I applaud you for the idea. It would indeed be interesting to see how this would affect someone and the eventual outcome.
The problem would create a logistical nightmare however.
1.How do we properly gather the money?
2. How do we choose the subject?
3.How do we know that they wont just take the money and run?
4. Whats to say that they wont just lie about it and not be truthful?
The idea is great but actually putting it into play is unrealistic in my opinion.

1.How do we properly gather the money? PayPal. We could designate someone to hold onto the money -- Tyler perhaps -- until it's time to pay the subject.
2. How do we choose the subject? Not sure yet, but I'll bet one of us could find someone.
3.How do we know that they wont just take the money and run? Pay them in installments or make them wait until the experiment is over.
4. Whats to say that they wont just lie about it and not be truthful? Require them to post dated pictures here at regular intervals -- say once a week?
The idea is great but actually putting it into play is unrealistic in my opinion. I disagree. I think it could be done without too much trouble. The hardest part is finding someone to do it.
