i wish i had access to a walmart!! only place i can shop is either online or the exchange. sometimes the exchange is cheaper but they don't have very many choices and to order anything online takes 2 - 3 weeks to get here, and what if it doesn't fit. to go out in town and buy clothes is a joke for someone my size!! nothing fits.
to be able to go buy a t-shirth with a saying on it would be nice just a regular t-shirt isn't sold here at the exchange.
i never thought i would miss a wally world when i was back in the states.
I haven't seen any HeadBlade stuff in Walmart for ... seems like a while. Target had HB stuff, but not any more. Walgreens and KMart seem to be the only places I can find it consistently.
Tim, Wal-Mart often carried merchandise based on what will sell, but rather what type of mark-up / discount they get. They also will have the manufacturer make it to their specifications so they will not need to meet competitor prices (i.e., their product is a bit different). HeadBlade may have chosen to not "sell out" to Wal-Mart.
This is SO true! I used to be a sales rep for a WalMart supplier. They not only demand cheaper prices (even if it means lower quality), but they are notoriously slow payers. They want discounts for quick payment, and take that discount, even if they don't pay for 120 days or more. Basically, their entire inventory is financed by their suppliers. And instead of paying interest, they take a discount. Pretty clever, even if it is hard on the suppliers.
HB is a great product, buy it from them directly and they'll make more capital off it. Walmart buys stuff in mass quantities, usually at a rate that thier competitors don't recieve, they in turn sell it cheaper. My guess is HB wasn't willing to cut thier own throats finacially in order to keep thier product on Wally world's shelves. Selling through WMart HB isn't probably make that much per unit as apposed to other retailers.
