Does Canada outlaw most guns?

all guns need to be registered. you need to get a 1 of the 2 also

possession permit (witch gives you the write to register your guns and go hunting) but you cannot purchase any other guns.

possession and aquisition ( need to follow a course $$$$, then pay 80$ to get your permit ) after you can own and buy new or used guns.

the law came out like 6 years ago, and it's plain stupid, like any criminal is going to go register his automatic wep. or black marcket gun.... or stolen one.. and such.

If I want to go to the shooting range, I need to advise the cops, at what time I'm leaving, tragectory, and such. we can't travel arround town with a gun in our trunks or whatever.

our vehicles are an extention of our home. so guns in the cars are cool. hell we can walk down the street with rifles as long as we don't hide them.

I dig it. A crowbar with a scope!! Nice!

If you guys think Canada are strict on their gun laws, you've never been to Australia.

If you even think of owning a handgun here legally, you have to be registered at the local shooting club, must attend once per month and the police come to your house to make sure the gun is locked in a safe seperate to the ammuntion.

Having rifles and shotguns are a bit more lax but not by much. You dont have to join a shooting club for $2000 per year at least.

Australia went strict on their gun laws when lunatic Martin Bryant used an automatic weapon to kill 35 people in Port Arthur Tasmania in 1995.

To someone who holds the second amendment close to his heart, that really sounds like an overkill response to one incident JDog.   Man, I would never be able to live there with such reactionary thinking.

Yes Paul this knee jerk reaction thinking has carried on for 12 years and affected millions of safe gun owners. When Indonesia decides to invade Australia ,its citizens wont be able to defend themselves.

While I still mourn the victims of Port Arthur, I dont believe banning the ownership of guns will make things "better" or "safer"

They plan on using the Swiss Navy ?
