My face can withstand an older razor, my head can't.
That's the way my face is....so better be prepared for a different dynamic on the head.
OK....so what about the batteries in those Mach3s and Fusions?

They operate the flashlight so you can shave in the dark.

Lately I been going with the grunge look with the days growth fro the face, and all I do for that is in the shower just do a one (maybe two, for tough spots) time pass quick pass with the grain.  Doing that has my razors lasting wicked long.  On the head my OCD kicks in, I’m methodical there, and I have to switch razors more frequently.  Maybe when I do the whole clean shaven face I see which is more sensitive.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering...if there's anything to it besides just being able to charge more for'em.

Yeah do what they call micropulsing and this technology is suppose to give you a closer shave. I must admit, I feel it gives a better shave, but never underestimate the power of the placebo.

Hey guys...I am new to the forum and new (within the past month) to the world of shaving. Because I was losing hair at the top of my head, I had been buzzing it with clippers for the past few years.
About a month ago I was exchanging messages at myspace with Todd of Headblade and at his prompting I decided to go all the way. Right now I am using Headblade's Sport Razor with Gillette Atra Blades.
After the first few times I shaved, I was noticing that there was some stubble still left behind and I was not getting the smooth feel or look I was hoping for. I started using a BIC Comfort Twin at the end of my shave to get a closer and smoother feel on my head. This method is working great for me.

I use the Fusion regular. I feel that all those pulse thingees are a scam.

I like Todd Greene a lot but I think his product is a little overated.

I learned to shave in the shower while I was in the military. I dont know how it would feel shaving the conventional way. I use any 3 blade razor while under the water, spray, from the shower keeps the blades clean and not clogged. The shower keeps any mess washed down the drain and a simple pass with the palm of my hand tells me everything I want to know as far as smoothness. Been doing this for years. No Razor babies to boot.
Is there anyone else that shaves this way. If so let me know. I mentioned it to a friend the other day and he looked at me like I was from up north or something. Please take no offence all you Snow going peeps.

I also shave in the shower now. I never did until I moved in with my wife and she hated the mess that was left after I shaved. Even when I "cleaned" up.
Moon, do you not use shaving cream or gel?
