The blades flex laterally and I think that's the ticket for a slick smooth skinhead.
I think this is the key to getting the slickest dome. That's why the Sensor Excel and Atra blades work best for me on the HeadBlade. I haven't tried the Schick Extreme.
Yeah, the Schick is what I use now but I use the non-disposable one which is called Schick Sub Zero. But I have tried the disposables and they work just as well which is why I'm thinking of switching up to them because of a little money saving.
I've tried the disposable Schick Xtremes and they do a decent job, but the blades don't last as long as the Mach III blades, so there really isn't any savings. You're probably better off sticking with the nondisposable one.

Tried HB today... it was very awkward. I have watched the vid on their site and I'm just not feelin' it. I love their product line though. Finished up with my Mach III. Oh well I might try HB at another time.

Mach 3 Power...but also really like my old-school double edge safety razor by Merkur. Blades are cheap and available anywhere. For lather: Edge gel if I'm in a hurry and mug-brush-soap routine if I have time to spare. Anyone else here use the double-edge razor?
I'd like to give the Headblade a test. Went to three stores (2 Longs, Walgreens) and they were sold out. SLY is really catching on.

I recently switched back to using my gillette fusion power, but with the regular fusion (non power) blades, and I use Bald Guyz shave gel, also before I head out the door I put on some Bald Guyz sunblock, I love the glossy look it gives me, and it doesn't seem to come off when I sweat.

Rob6, I'm assuming you're talking about shaving your face since right now, you are still at the buzzing stage.

yeah, that's what i use on my mug, but this morning, since the back and sides were still basically stubble from saturday's cut, i just kept the mach 3 gliding up the sides and back. just about 1/4 inch butch on top...might have to inch my way up to that next. taking me a while to get the courage up.

We're pulling for you buddy. I think you will find it a non-event for everyone other than yourself when you do it. You will love it and wonder what the big deal was. Good luck.
