Here's another welcome.
How about posting something (and, optionally, a pic) over in the Introductions area. Maybe like what prompted you to begin shaving, what was most unexpected about having a shaved head, etc.

The first time since I am in the 30 days now I did it with a mach 3 that was sitting for a while. I have moved on to using my Merkur DE to shave it now. 2 swipes WTG and XTG and it is pretty smooth. I haven't tried the head blade or anything like that I try to save money on shaving that is why the DE razor once I get use to my SR more I will probably move on to that. I have 2 imperial 20507 SR that I picked up and they give the closes shave I have ever gotten. I am in the learning cure for them still too.

Sounds like you are getting some great shaves there Eric. . I usually use the sport on my head and a fusion or DE on the face.

Lynchy there are a lot of good priced SR out there if you look on the SRP and B&B classifieds you can come across so good deals on ebay as well but be very careful there. I have really taken to old school shaving and if you have any questions about going to a SR just ask I can try to help out. I am still learning my self but have done a lot of home work at the start. there is some really good info on youtube as well.

Thanks Eric,
I already DE shave, this just seems the next logical step.
If/when I give it a crack I will hit you up if I have any dramas.

How often do you hone it and do you do that yourself? If so, what equipment do you use? Do you shave your face
and head with the SE?

gilette sensor. oldskool baby. well, ok, maybe not straightedge oldskool, but I've grown accustomed to it over the last fifteen years. Started using my dad's as a kid and just did the wrap around when I decided to shave the nugget too. I imagine you guys probably have some better razors workin' for ya. Just a creature of habit I guess.
Robert, you're actually a step ahead of me. This might be pathetic, but I'm using Harris Teeter brand knock-off of the Sensor. LOL. Mach 3 just isn't in my budget right now. Takes a little extra time and patience. The Mach 3 seems to "hug" my scalp better. Thinking about springing for a HeadBlade soon...will have to check out the price on cartridges.
How does the price of Mach 3 to HeadBlade cartridges compare, fellas?

I've never used a Mach 3 but when I use the HB I use it with Wilkinson Sword blades. They are very budget friendly - roughly $3.75 for a 10-pack.
