Best (and worst) logos & uniforms in sports

I know everyone has a big slice of bias, but now that football (yes, you UK blokes, I said "football") is up & running, let us know what you think are the best & worst logos in sports.

Best:
Oakland Raiders...logo is timeless, and many teams have copied the silver & black in an attempt to sell more merchandise. Still the #1 selling jersey in the NFL.
Boston Red Sox: As much as I hate them, I love their uni's.

Worst:
University of Oregon football (have you seen those ugly Nike green things? Hideous).

Worst uniforms I ever saw were those worn for a few games by NC State basketball - I think back in the mid 80's.  They were those one piece lycra/spandex jobs that were form fitting.  Not a good fashion statement.  Looked like a bunch of track sprinters playing basketball.

Second choice would be the shorts that Chicago White Sox owner Bill Veckk pulled out in the 70's - horrific.

Schro I'm with you bro. The Raiders logo/jersey is a stylish and timeless logo many times copied never duplicated. Black and Silver make a great partnership


The worst uniform in the world is the universal uniform worn by Test cricketers. Ugly and drab and boring devoid of any color or significance.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL:

best....  FLORIDA STATE UNVIVERSITY (classic garnet & gold colors with the kool helmets)
             penn state (simple yet classic)

worst...  oregon state  (flourscent green....nuff said)
              clemson (common...purple & orange)

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:

best... dodgers (classic), cubs, braves, red sox

worst... diamond backs, marlins, indians (that logo is very demeaning even if  u  r not an indian)

NFL:

best... bears (classic home uni's), cowboys, chargers (lite blue with the gold bolts), raiders (classic black & silver)

worst... browns, seahawks

NBA:

best.... bulls, spurs, rockets

worst... hornets, jazz, celtics

Now that I have that out of the way, my favorite uni this year has to be the 1977 throwbacks Iowa State pulled out for the Iowa game this year.  Those things looked sharp, and the Clones won.

Yeah, I've somehow been able to find 2 of the most niche sports websites ever, the Uni Watch and a site dedicated to all things related to NFL TV Coverage maps, www.the506.com/nflmaps.  Combine that with SBG, the SpeedTV forums and my membership in Club Cherry Bomb, and I pretty much have all the geekiness covered.

NFL Best:  Oakland Raiders, intimidation. 
NFL Worst: Packers  - it's not a tough color combo, nor does it match

MLB- Best: Yankees , Pinstripes, classic
MLB- Worst: Mariners

College Best: Notre Dame, simple, yet exemplar
College Worst: Bowling Green

How can you not like the classic test cricket strip?

OK, you got a point.  I can never tell who's who.  It would be useful as I find the game so dull I keep falling asleep and need a reminder when I wake up!

I can't say that the Brown's have the most inspiring uniform in NFL.  Has anyone ever been fired up by brown or plain white?
The helmet logo is nothing much to shout about either.
You could argue that it was a timeless look.
