As I watched the Olympics I came across the Synchronized swimmers on the TV. I have in the past always laughed at them, and said that that was not very hard to do, and this Olympics was no different. My girlfriend told me before I knocked it I should try it. Well I don't know how to Synchronize swim, but I do know how to swim. So I watch the clock and saw the time one of their routines lasted, and I headed down to the YMCA to see if I could a least keep myself afloat for that time plus a little more being that I wasn't doing all the flips and upside down stuff.
Thank God there was a life guard there

..................My hat goes off to those women.
OMG Sly, that sport is a testament to the buoyancy of the female anatomy. I worked as a life guard for 2 summers and it wouldn't be uncommon for the female manager to hold longterm floating sessions. Needless to say the guys would all drop out within 5 to 10 minutes and the girls would go for 30 minutes easy. A couple of the girls even got into contests where some would float for upwards of an hour and a half or so. This is all with your elbows out of the water mind you. I think my best time was 7 minutes.
How long are the olympic routines?
Long enough to almost kill me......
