Hello guys!! And a belated Happy New Year to you all.

Alright, first off - excuse my absence. I have been equally vacant from such lovely things as Facebook and anywhere else on the Internet I dare to stick my head the past couple of months. December is a little nuts with family stuff (very broken and spread out family) and January has proven to be about the same so far. Family, friends and a lot of work.
So I hope you all had excellent holidays, and a Happy 2015 to you all and best wishes.
Now I had promised to make a video of this and next time I will, but as this was something of an impromptu decision (I have been buzzing the hair for a little bit to get a feel for the shorter hair) I have finally shaved my head for the first time in about 17 years and am here to share it with you guys.
I will state now I feel I have not healed enough of the psoriasis on my scalp to keep the hair at this length at the moment so I am going to let it regrow to a 2mm length roughly until this red crap is gone (some has already) and then I will really give this the 30 day challenge.

Okay, so here are some photographs then I will tell you guys what I think so far and you are of course very welcome to add in your opinions and don't worry being nice vs critical. I'll take advice either way

Oh fantastic they are all sideways. Whatever, you guys get the idea anyway I am sure.
I'll post better ones next time around, maybe not sitting naked in my bathtub like a weirdo hahaha.
So as you can see in the photos I obviously could benefit from some sun on the scalp but in the dead of winter in Canada this is unlikely. I can wait months for that, and the chances are between the sun causing my hair to lighten and the skin going a much darker colour (I tan fairly darkly) that you won't see much of a shadow when it is done.
What you can see here is where the psoriasis affects my scalp. It's steadily going away and in another month or two will be completely invisible assuming I steer clear of breads and sugars. For the time being it is very easily scraped (and bleeds) when a razor passes over it won't is definitely wisest to wait until it has gone. Thus the red patches on the vertex and temple areas of my head.

Finally a question for you guys and they are not as severe as I have seen some other people post - but I certainly have dimples in my skin on the vertex of my scalp. When a photo is taken with a flash they are quite evident, but under normal light or with a non flash photograph you can't really see them at all.
I guess my question for all of you is: this is somewhat normal for scalps? Does it improve as you shave? And any advice you guys may have on other ways to minimize them if there is anything that will help them at all.
Thank you all very much, and I shall be around more regularly again from here on it. Well at least until next December

Nice pictures! As far as the psoriasis, I would see a doctor, but this i just a suggestion: Keeping it shaved may result in faster healing, but you have to do what is best for you. Good luck!

Thank you Sir Harry!
As far as the doctor goes I have been down that road. They will prescribe you topical steroids which work, for a time, but also will cause thinning of the skin due to repeated use and also tend to lose their effectiveness. Also steroids over long term use will reduce a lot of nutrients within the system and draw on ones stored in your marrow. And if you stop using them the psoriasis returns, often worse than before (from my experiences with it).
The other western treatments involve systemic drugs like Enbrel which suppress the entire immune system - effective yes, but I'll pass.
About two years ago I came across howtobeatpsoriasis.com and was introduced to an amazing man named Charles who had concocted a recipe for a smoothie which when combined with a slightly restricted diet was able to eliminate all signs of this disease within a span of 4 months. I slacked off after that and it came back, but am back ok the regime how.
Completely natural, great for your health, and it effectively clears the skin. I'll stick to what I know works safely
But I do appreciate the input.

Well, I'm glad you finally (re)tried it out. It looks good. Glad that you'll be doing the 30-days challenge once the scalp cooperates a bit more.

Munkynutz...my scalp does the same thing but is only visible right after I shave and a little bit the next day so I'm not sure if it's the same thing your facing. I would like the recipe to your smoothie though to give it a try. Thanks!

Hey Munkynutz,
Apply pure tea tree oil twice a day in your scalp, in 2 days you will see a huge improvement.
Thanks

Thanks for your input guys.
Henry, you mean... For the psoriasis? I'll give it a shot I have some kicking around to be used as an antibacterial soap anyway. Thanks for the heads up.
SlickChrome: you too are talking about the psoriasis to your head or the dimpling? I am of course willing to pass along the recipe to anyone. Send me a message and we will get that started. Charles himself is also great to talk to and will have any updates he has made to said recipe in his own but he is more difficult to get in touch with. You can check out the website I linked anyway and see the progression from what he had to what he has now. And trust me it is very much like that. Red for a month with less scaling, then pink for a long time, then just disappears like it was never there. So strange.
Tobler: thank you. I certainly shall. It'll probably be kept buzzed until spring now because judging from where my skin is now versus where it was at before I am about 1/3 of the way, no more. Very curios to see how it looks with colour too.

Funny it's now been about 14 hours since I shaved the head and there are no bumps or anything to speak of. Some hair beginning to become visible again but not that much anywhere. Running my hand over my scalp it feels pretty good still and a little freakishly soft.
I am assuming with time and exposure of this skin to the elements that it gets a little bit more like the rest of the face. Gonna find out sooner or later though.

George, it looks great. I know you are dealing with the psoriasis, but overall, the sly look is good on you.
My sister had it on her scalp a few years ago and buzzed hers down to a #1. She did so many things to get rid of it, that I'm not sure which one was the best, or if it was a combination of things. The visits to the doctor seemed to be the least effective and most discouraging. She has a Doctorate of Pharmacy, but sees the value of herbs and oils and other alternative things. She has not had a recurrence since she got rid of it. She was able to grow her hair back out and it looks the best it has in years.
It sounds like you are on to something that is working for you. Best of wishes to you for a smooth dome in the new year!

hey Munkynutz!
Absolutely great look for you! Without the hair to distract, the viewer's sight is drawn right to your eyes and that amazingly strong jaw! Wow, you are now a very POWERFUL looking guy!
(and that tiny soul patch is a real "in your face" bit of attitude as well!)
Man, what took you so long? You have got to be enjoying the response that you are getting - yes?
