well  i gave it a try for 2 weeks and every time i kept nicking my self on the back of my head.also it just feels weird cutting the sides of the head also im use to just to shaving down to up on the sides. i  used it with the headslick i think it juz doesnt pivot good enough the cartridge i use is the atras. but ya everytime i use it the back of my head is all bloody. i think another problem is cause im a big guy is that i got some chub of the back of my head like a big bump so it keep doing wheelies off the bump. but yeah i used the mach 3 turbo cause i was curious bout that and no nicks watsoever so i think im going to stick wit the mach 3 turbo.
but yeah headblades still a good product i would use it over the disposible blades.

Sorry about your bad experience with the headblade. I will have to admit...i havent really tried any other product.  The Headblade seems to being fine for me..and like the old saying..if it isnt broke...why fix it.  Just as long as you are getting a smooth dome...doesnt matter what you use. I'm the same way.  I have never used anything but headblade, and have never cut myself.

Every head is different though, and if Mach 3 works better than the headblade I would go with that.  Everyone has to experiment and find the best razor for their head.

I gotta be honest, I would chop up my head a whole bunch with the HB.  The back and sides of my head looked horrible, cut and scraped with bumps, and sometimes it would slice my scar a little, no matter how long I soaked my head in hot water, and no matter how much shaving cream.

I bought a Remington electronic shaver, the real expensive one, like 60 bucks.  Its the one with two parralel cylindars that shave.  My barber shaved my head with it once and I fell in love.

It is amazing how close it shaves.  I swear you can pass your hand over your head and it feels just like you shaved it with a razor.  And its quick, and you can pass it however.  It leaves no cuts, bumps, nothing.  And its portable.  I go to a class after work (with some chicks there so I want it clean).  And I bring the shaver with me (when charged you can take it anywhere and shave up to 60 minutes).  I'll shave in the bathroom right before the end of the day at work, and I'm good to go.

Bought it at CVS where you drop of the photos to be developed.  I don't feel bad either cuz the HB was pretty cheap.

Sorry to hear HB isn't workin for ya, cali.  Remember to apply pressure only to the wheels, forward pressure can cause nicks and cuts.   Also take it slow, speed will come with experience.  I had problems too at first but from following advice in the shaving posts have not problems at all now.  Have you tried watching the HB video on their website?  But really, just stick with what works best for ya.  Its now HOW you get sly, but that you get there.

If you have 'chub' on the back of your head, did you try tipping your chin downward when shaving.  That could help flatten out the creases for a better shave.  Just a thought.

I started with the HB sport and headslick. I am now going on my third week of shaving the dome. I have been getting beautiful shaves with it.
The only problem I have and I believe a few others do too, is that it's tough to get close on the sides. I use my Mach III or Atra plus to clean up the sides and back where I may miss and I get it really smooth.
That is what works for me, but as you know each guy will have different needs. You just have to do what works and stick with it.
I agree with Stew on the chin tipping, It will help you get a smoother surface and the Hb should stay put. Always remember to keep the pressure on the back finger pads toward the wheels.
Like Paul says, go slow.

Sorry to hear about your trial with the HB but glad to hear you are sticking with it.  Yeah, I'm the same way with the HB.  I'm just one of those guys that it doesn't matter what I do I usually end up with some kind of irritation or nick.  Every now and then I get bored so I gave it another try earlier this week just because and it did do a decent job.  Then the next day, nick city.  I've been using my old Mach 3 also and it has been doing a great job for me also.  I have never gotten one nick with it.  Plus it's good on the face and it kills two birds with one stone.

Damn bro, that's kind of unbelievable about how close you say the electric gets.  I've posted up on here a few times to get feedback from guys that have tried some of the newer electrics to see if they think it's worth it over a regular razor.  But most of the guys have said that the electrics don't come nowhere close to getting you as smooth as a blade razor.  What exactly is the name of the one you got?  Because if it works as good as you say it does then it would definitely be worth checking out.  I've been thinking of switching to an electric for a while now as long as I could find one that would get me smooth enough.  It would definitely be a money saver in the end and cut down on a lot of maintenance time.

Thanks for the info bro.  I probably will stick with the regular razors.  I can go almost 12 hours or more sometimes without feeling too much stubble.

Its true...its as close for the first few hours, but the stubble does come somewhat faster.  However its so easy, quick and convenient, not to mention I can shave the back and sides a lot easier and without leaving marks, and seemingly a lot closer on the sides and the backs, because of the ease of shaving.  Also you can "touch it up" if you may with the machine reather quickly. 

Its called the Remington MS2-290 MicroScreen Dry Shaver, Dual Heads, Trimmer.  I really find it much more convenient...just being honest. 

And really, when you shave it, and run your hand over, its damn near exactly like the razor.

Sorry to hear you and others have had to endure nicks using the Sport!

I've been SLY for over 4 months and have yet to be nicked(knock on wood) by my Sport...wouldn't use anything else.
