47 year old with typical balding pattern.
Finally said enough, a few weeks ago and joined the club....BUT then I let it grow back a week and HATED the way I looked,
so as of tonite a Sly guy again...for good I think.
Wife initially did not like but I got the whatever makes you happy.... (maybe a new Mac Pro as well

)
Anyway, I started on this forum asking shaving advice and for now using head blade works for me.
I love the professionalism I read on this forum and plan to visit fairly regular.
I want to get a nice tan on the dome this summer to toughen up the skin....
Take Care

Good choice as far as going sly again! I say go by the 30 day rule on here so everyone of your regular contacts can get used to your new look. That's what helped me. Now, everyone around me is so used to me being bald that it's hardly ever mentioned.

Welcome back, udflyer!. Nothing wrong with growing the hair back just to make sure that you enjoy the sly route...Give the Mrs. time, she'll get used to it and probably start loving it too!

My wife was hesitant at first.
She and others are used to it now and say they like it.
I was sitting out on my 'park bench' in the front yard with a new buddy over the weekend. He said, "I bet you like to sit here, watch the birds and flowers, and smoke a pipe."
I asked, "How did you know". He said, "Any guy bold enough to shave his head and wear an earring probably also smokes a pipe from time to time".
Welcome. Good to have you here.

Welcome to the Long Term Sly side ... bet you wish you'd done it sooner. (That's a very common response.)

Glad you joined us, Udflyer.
My wife had about the same opinion as yours. If I wanted to do it, then she "supported" me. She since has stated she likes me ths way.
Like the gentlemen before me, I am willing to bet your wife is going to end up liking your look as well.

Welcome to the forum.

Added photo to my profile.
Not too bad for a rookie.
Just bought my Jergens Natural glow to try and get some color on my newly bald part.
Feedback welcome

I work in the corporate world
No one has said anything to me on my new head
But I am curious if I were to ever look for
Another job has anyone felt it was held
Against them they shaved their head?

I have never felt like a shaved head was going to keep me from getting a job.

A shaved head has never been an obstacle for me getting a job...in fact it actually may have helped win I have had balding and sly bosses. My plant manager went sly last year and he says he's never felt better.
