I been checking up on this rogaine stuff and i have read about this side effects, and that the result is different from person to person.

She didnt mak a fuzz about it unless i asked, which is respectful IMO.
i told her that this bald/stubble look is catching up on me and I dont mind it as much. I also dont want to use rogaine and get false hopes from it, atleast when i shave/have stubble I know where i stand interms of look and preference.

One of the bigger risks with that is "performance issues" if you know what I mean O0

Sath,

Why complicate things? You seem happy being sly. And your money is better spent on a gym membership. I have known a couple of guys who used Rogaine, to no great effect. I think it's a waste of money and gives guys false hope.

Thats what i been reading on forums too, yeah no thanks lol

Yeah that was exactly my thought, the bald/stubble has become pretty much natural to me now that i dont care for it. And I told my cousin I am not like one of those fruity-boys who freak the hell out when hair is going away from my head, never cared. They act like women were hair is too precious to them and they try to salvage so much as possible lol.
Paying so much for shampoo, hairgeles...etc. be a man and "deal with it", and get rid of the thing.

I also thought about this and told my mom (she was there). Why waste months and money on this stuff and have false hopes just to see it doesnt work and then i lose my hope and have to keep this new look.
Atleast I know where i stand and what i am doing, no hope...just confidence when i trim/shave my head, for FREE.

PS. Gym membership>>>>>>stupid hair regrowth, by far!

I have decided that i will continue with the no-guard trim instead of shaving, i feel i am more happy that way than completely shaved. And the stubble look had a nice combo going with the beard IMO which was nice.

Its been 2 days since i shaved and the stubble look is kicking rapidly, i would say another 2 or maybe 4 more days and i am back to the original no-guard trim.

Though it was definitely a unique experience and feel when i shaved it off no doubt about that.

It doesnt mean i wont shave my head again in the far future, i dont know if i will or wont, but never say never i guess.

Hey, a super tight buzz looks good too.

If you read the clipper discussions, there are a number of 'balding clippers' which are designed to cut very very short. They cost a little more than the 'walmart' variety, but they work.

And if you go very very short, you may still want to clipper every day or every other day as at that length, the daily growth can be felt.

I just remove the guard off my beard trimmer, it does the job very well, has so far anyways.
And yeah i know i have to trim it every day or every other day. 2 days tops for me. But I dont mind it goes by very fast anyways and i go take a shower everyday after gym at home so no harm done.

Sath just you need your time....and your family also.
I remember my sister when saw me bald :) :) (what you done to your hair? Why you done this?). After little days opinion changed..."hmmm you look good".
My opinion is to "play" between zero and 2-3 days trimming. After one month you will see with which style you look better.
Everybody needs time when something changing.

I have pretty much passed the entire family and relatives here, they seen me in stubble but no bald but thats not a big difference between the two tbh. They are used to the look now so its no longer an issue.

But as i said, i will just settle with the no-guard trim and trim my hair everyday or 2 days and I will be fine.

Bodies can be oddly configured and shaped, but if they work, why sweat it?  Aside from the good changes we can make through diet and exercise, or bad changes we can prevent, using sunscreen and not smoking, it's good for your mental health to relax.

Besides, change comes eventually, unbidden, and our bodies get weirder and less functional. In the last ten years I have experienced changes to my function and appearance that simply have to be lived with. Not uncommon in one's 40s. Inevitable, even.  The sooner we decode it's the happiness of the man inside the machine that counts, the better.

500 (!) years ago, Michel de Montaigne wrote, "Nature forms us for ourselves, not for others; to be, not to seem."

Well i shaved today, again lol

Its been on my mind for atleast 2 days to shave again, but my issue isnt on headshape, i am way pass that.

But on the front of my hair on my right there is much more thinning and patches compared to the left which is more covered.
And everytime I would lean my head forward you could instantly see the pattern which is annoying, even if one looks straight you would notice it a bit.

Thats when i tried to decide if i should shave it one more time and see how the clean shaven looks and feels like compared to no-guard stubble, so i did it today.
This time, since it wasent long time ago i did it, the look didnt shock me, the touch of smooth head wasent anything new and the difference wasent that big from the no-guard trim i did early in the morning.

Only difference is shaved has no uneven patterns on the head, its shinier (not by much which i like), smoother, quicker to do and its cleaner and no black outlines around my head.

And tbh my family has already seen my with shaved head so nothing else is going to shock them as it did at first, they know i will get the stubble look within 4 days, 5 days max.
And I have passed the time were i care what anyone else in my family/relative thinks.

I dont know if i will keep the shaved look or not but we will see.

I'm glad you made the jump, Sath!  Now for the next hurdle... growing out the full beard!    O0 O0 >:D

I would but I get hair slightly above my cheeks and i just dont like the look, some guys have natural stop line on the cheeks which is below, I dont unfortunetly so i dont try anymore to do it.
[/quote]

I don't know if too many guys actually have natural stop line on the cheeks.  I have been leaving my beard high on the cheeks, but do trim it from going higher (as it wants too).

i have been trying a few times but i dont like it when it has that "straight shape" if its not natural, i look like too dirty if i let it grow out for more than 2 days...1 day stubble is okay.

See the guy on right, i like his look. Bald + circle goatee with that uniform, good style IMO lol.
Has that very clean yet bearded look.

Congrats on shaving again, I thought you would be thinking of it a lot, it gets habit forming.

I agree on the photo, I wear black often, just seems to look good on bald guys!
