Might as well just grow out the horseshoe and wear it proudly right?

How is shaving your head to hide your male pattern baldness any different than a guy who wears a comb?

I want an honest opinion about this.

I'm not shaving my head to hide my baldness - I am not fooling anyone nor am I  trying to fool anyone. I simply did not like the way I looked as a balding man. I think I look better bald and I feel better bald.

I happen to think a comb over looks dreadful, and to me , a guy with a comb over looks like he's trying to hide something.

I don't think a really short horseshoe looks bad. But who am I  to judge? If a guy likes his comb over and feels confident rocking that, then more power to him.

Yup.

I didn't quote the rest of your post because it isn't really relevant to what I'm going to type. There's a lot of evangelizing that goes on in here about the wonderfulness of shaving the head. I've been doing so for about 15 years and I just like it better than the alternative. But the thing to remember is that it's only a haircut, nothing more. It is not a religious calling or some type of adventure, it's a haircut or a hairstyle and I can always let it grow out if I get tired of it.
I've seen guys with horseshoes and some of them wear it well. I'm thinking of Robert Duvall right now. Trump has a combover that's magical. I prefer a smooth dome just because it's less complicated for me.
Maybe a horseshoe would work on you. Keep in mind that it's your head and your hair and as long as you're paying your own bills and making your own way in the world it isn't anyone else's business how you wear it. Just wear it proudly.

I don't really know what to say about that sentence except that I love it and will be repeating it.  Just a great combination of words.  ;D

I do not shave my head to hide MPB.  It is my hairstyle of choice. I like the bald look.  But having a shaved head does seem to instill some confidence, and others report that I look more authoritative with a shaved head. Sister in law says I look like a professor with a bald head.

I really enjoy the look. Feel like it is special, as so many guys won't go there or seem afraid of going there.

It is only a problem if YOU make it a problem.

If non-bald guys are so confident of their appearances, why do they bother getting haircuts?

Look at this way:  if you are going bald, what's left is keeping you from being perfectly bald.  You may as well remove the obstacle!  Seriously, being fully bald is a statement of full self-acceptance.  There is always is that tell-tale shadow, but either a horsehoe or a chrome dome can be worn with confidence.

Shaving your head makes you completely bald.  It is a much better look and feel than being partially bald.  Once you are bald, why does it matter if you have a full or partial head of hair that you shaved off?  This is not hiding your baldness... just going with the flow.

Now if you think a comb-over hides baldness....then there is no need for discussion... it's hopeless.

Well, believe it or not, a shaved head is a haircut....But did you ever think that not everyone shaves their head to hide their MPB? Here are some other reasons that people shave their heads and wear them with pride:

1. To support a relative or friend with cancer
2. If you are in a situation where you cannot get a haircut for an extended period (i.e. combat deployments)
3. To cure a scalp condition (dandruff or worse, seborrhic dermatitis)
4. Maybe MPB guys are tired of paying full price for half a haircut

I could go on and on, but however a person elects to wear their hair is their business.....
Even when the d is removed, the devil is still evil.
