I work construction and the other day I caught my head on a 2x4...so now I have had a giant scrape/cut on my head and can't shave..just keeping it clipper cut..which even though I love the smooth feeling I have found the clippers a much easier routine..I really think hair does act as antenna because I hit my head way more often being sly lol..
LOL! I think you're right. Not too long after shaving my head (which was many years ago) I walked into a tree branch while mowing the lawn. Since I was looking down at the time I had a nice sized scratch on the front part of the top of my head. I had to shave around it. Even though the scratch was on a part of my head where my hair had thinned, a few stubbly hairs started to make their way through that area.
Still manage to bang my head from time to time while getting into cars. I have to believe that, as you said, hair acts as feeler antennae
I hit my head all the time, I've been lucky enough that have not done any real damage yet.
I hit my head just before i said 'I Do' to my wife! lol
Nothing, absolutely nothing is more interesting on a man than a scar. Drop the 2 X 4 then pause, smile as if recapturing a memory, laugh a bit and say, "Oh yeah, that, funny story. I was in a hurry to jam on my helmet at the bobsled run at St. Moritz and really gave it a whack with a metal snap. (pause) There was a sodding plume of blood all the way down the course....Good time, good times." Then shut up.
It's finally healed up..think I'm going to stick with the clipper shave though til it gets outrageously hot..blitz that was great lol
I wish I had a scar. It sounds weird. But I think scars make the story. You know someone is going to ask eventually. I would be mad not being able to shave.
And on a story side... my friend was born with his legs not working. When people ask him, he invents a story on the spot... war vet... car accident... my favorite was his crazy x stabbed him in the back.
But anyways. It is winter. keep it short. when it warms up, come back to the dark side.
