So I was going through my Facebook today, and seen a advertisement for Everskull. I have never heard of it, so was wondering if any of you guys have? And if anyone has used it?

Never heard of it.  Is it a shaving lotion or cream of some sort?

Hey guys--first time posting. Never gave my bald head much thought before... I saw a thing on facebook too, entered their contest, and they sent me a free set. Awesome stuff. I think they're doing a pre-sale now, but they won't ship until March or April. Sucks, but def worth the wait. Just hoping my free stuff lasts till then.

Welcome, Maverick! If you get a chance and use it, could you give us a review?

Seems a little pricey.

Sure, Sir Harry… I’ve actually been using the stuff for about a week, so I’d be happy to do a quick review for you guys…
I’m def no expert in shaving, but as the token bald guy among my fam and friends, I feel like I’m always getting some kind of fancy shave set for birthdays and Christmas, so I’ve used a lot of products… granted, not many were made for bald guys… Anyway, here goes my first shave review… the kit from everskull came with 4 things, but I’m only gonna talk about 3 of them… the double edged safety razor is not really my thing. I did try it, but I thought it was kind of like driving a stick-shift. There’s a lot more control and preciseness and everything, but personally, I’d rather just speed through on autopilot mode with my mach5 or whatever. If you’re into that classic sort of shave though, it might be good for you… as for the other things…

1.   Pre-shave scrub: It’s really grainy, so you have to be pretty gentle with it. But it makes for a real good head massage. Especially in winter air, I get a buildup of dry skin that sort of clings between my head stubble. This stuff really gets it out. It’s little different from most soaps or shampoos, so I’m still getting used to it, but the tingling feeling it gives my scalp before a shave is awesome. Also, maybe it’s just cause of my big head, but I use A LOT of it, and I think it’d run out pretty quick if I used it as a daily cleanser, so I’m gonna try to keep it pre-shave only. Cool stuff, but I wish there was more of it.
Grade: B

2.   Shave oil: Being honest, I probably never would have tried a shave oil if I hadn’t won it. I was a rich and thick lather kind of guy. Now, all I can say it that this stuff is BLOODY AMAZING. It cut my shave time down considerably. And I can’t believe how smooth my head is. I joked to my wife I got electrolysis and she believed it. I can even shave against the grain without any bumps or anything. Also, I’m not even making a dent in the stuff. I did a little measuring experiment for you guys, and I’m pretty sure the stuff will last anyone 3-4 months with no problem. I’m hooked on this for life.
Grade: A++++++

3.   Aftershave: This has a gel texture sort of like aloe, and it feels really cool going on. Smells really good too. Actually, all the products have the same sort of smell, which I personally like a lot. Sometimes, if I’m passing the bathroom, I go in and put it on just for the cool feel. This is another one that feels like it’ll last forever, at least as long as the oil, if not longer. I don’t get any bumps or irritation with the shave oil, so it’s hard to say if this will help with that, but it feels really soothing. The real test will be if I try to shave with my old creams again and put this stuff on after. If I try that I’ll post again and let you know how it goes.
Grade: A- (more tests needed)

That’s pretty much it—turned out a lot longer than expected. I should also mention the bottle and jars are pretty sweet. My wife used to make me put my shave stuff away and say “you’re making this place look like a frat house” but now she actually has the aftershave jar out alongside the sink like a decoration.

My name's Ed, and I'm the owner and founder of Everskull. It's great to see more people talking about us. The response has been overwhelmingly positive so far. Maverick, thanks for the big ups, and the honest feedback.

I started this brand after I made the leap into baldness and found that there weren't really any luxury shave products for bald men. Everything I tried was either a poorly repurposed face-shaving product or some cheap knockoff that looked like it was made for a college kid. I started messing around with different ingredients, I made more terrible concoctions than I can count, and I spent a lot of days with a bumpy, razor-burned head. I really never thought I'd stumble upon anything as good as our premium shave oil. When I did, I knew it had to be more than a personal project and that I had to share it with people. I'm interested to hear more of your individual stories and experiences with head shaving.

Unfortunately, we're out of free kits for the time being, and we won't have our regular inventory ready for another month or so, but I noticed some of the comments about our price. Even though Everskull is a luxury line, my goal is to make it attainable for as many people as possible without compromising quality. Given that our Premium Shave Oil and Cooling Aftershave provide 100 shaves per bottle/jar, what would you consider a fair and affordable price? I'd love to get your feedback on that and any other thoughts or comments about my fledgling brand.

Keep up the good work. Forums like this are great for the bald community, and they were great reading material for me back when I was experimenting.

Cheers.

Maverick, thanks for the review....Given that I am now a collector of DE razors, the kit may be worth the investment for that alone....but as you say, the DE (safety) razor may not be for everyone, but YMMV....Everskull (Ed), thanks for jumping on board to give us a brief overview of your product.....It's nice to see that there is now a market for products for head shaving, especially now that more and more men (some women, too) are shaving their heads, and it's good to have products specifically designed for that purpose. The fact you can use it on the face also helps. Once again, thanks guys!

I just wanted to tell you that, thanks to an overwhelmingly positive response from supporters of the brand, we've been able to drop our prices considerably over the past week. I hope that this makes our products more widely accessible. I'm stoked to be able to share our stuff with more people.

Maverick really talked me into trying out the Everskull shave oil. I've only been sly for about a month, my question is can you use the shave oil by itself or are you suppose to apply a shave soap afterwords and then shave? Also is it okay to use it on your face?
