Rocket Launch
« on: December 03, 2013, 04:24:55 PM »
I wish I had my camera, but was driving and  almost home when I noticed a rocket being launched about 20 minutes ago.  It was such a perfect sky for pictures... we could see it so clearly.

We thought something didn't look right, but turned on the news and they said they had received several calls saying what we thought, but assured the viewers that everything was great with the launch... we were just seeing more detail than what we normally would.

I guess we got used to seeing the shuttle go up, but these private satellites are a little different anyway.

I work in the industry and I can tell you that most people would be shocked at how small some of those satellites are.
