Some added benefits
« on: July 23, 2013, 01:00:19 AM »
HI, i am one day over one week of my 30 days.

In case you are still 'on the fence' here are some added benefits of being bald that  i have discovered in my first week

I was very grey haired and now i have found that i look and feel younger. I even asked someone what age they thought i was and they said oh about 42! That's not bad as i'm nearly 50!

Rain on your newly shaved head is amazing and very refreshing

Being bald saves me loads of Barber money but more importantly i no longer have to go the barber nor make a 'haircut decision'.

I have only had positive reactions so far but the most interesting is that some people i have known for ages just accepted me bald straight away with no comment or reaction at all Like it was the natural thing in the world

I actually liked the attention when i first went to work bald.

Your hair actually does grow quite quickly. If you hate it bald (and i doubt you will) it will look like a nice buzz cut in a week or so.

Make the shaving an event, not a chore, enjoy it. Enjoy the feeling and the experience. It will make you appreciate the decision even more.

This web site makes me feel part of something not just 'normal' like everyone else in society.

A cannot stress enough how liberating it is. How confident it makes me feel and how strong it makes me feel.

Oh and take before and after pictures, it helped me. When looked at my greying floppy fringed haircut and then at my new cool clean strong shaved head i thought..bazinga!

Go on give bald a try, you have nothing to lose and so much to gain.

Nicely summed up.  I can relate to all your sentiments.  Isn't it  great feeling.  I still feel the same way after 9 years.

Preach it, brother!  Especially the part about rain on the head. I really enjoy that feeling.  It's even better in January when you have a cold rain. Feels great on a bald head.

Yeah, I've actually gotten this, too. I'm 60 but I had a much younger woman a few weeks ago guess me to be 40. With hair I don't think that would have happened.

Nice post! I agree the rain does feel good on a naked scalp! Plus I didn't miss having to go to the barbers .... Too expensive!
