One last thing to do
«

Now being a confirmed BBC and on my 30 days I had one last ceremony to carry out.
Tonight I collected up all my hair gels and hair products and tossed them out with the rubbish.
What a great feeling of freedom.
What was your final step? What made you say 'yeah that's it im finally free'?

Well, the hair dryer is put away, shampoo and conditioner in the shower has been replaced with shaving equipment. Haven't worn a hat since I shaved, I like to show off the new me!

My daughter used the last of my shampoo on the dog.
I thought it was fitting since I had used his clippers when I went smooth.
(Yes, I cleaned them first.)

Reddog's comment raised a thought. I notice a lot of sly men covering their bald heads with a hat or bandanna. Good idea in hot, sunny weather but I prefer where possible to show off my shiny pate. What do others think.

I'll wear a hat for protection, or for fashion, but never to hide. I love to show off my shiny scalp proudly.

Mmm the hat or no hat is a good question. I've only been BBC for a week and I did try a baseball cap at the weekend but didn't like it. Which is strange because when I had hair I always wore one in the sun.
Now I prefer factor 50 and a bald head.
I checked in the mirror with some shades on and I thought wow that look rocks. Way better than a hat.
Everyday is bald brings a new experience.

Same here. With a full head of hair, I either spent an hour before I went anywhere washing, drying, combing into place so it looked decent or threw a hat over it to cover up the mess. Being sly, you don't have to give it a second thought which makes things a lot easier.

I learned the hard way when my hair was starting to fall out that a hat was a necessity for me whenever I was in the sun.
I still wear a bandanna if my head is going to be exposed to the sun for any prolonged period. It also keeps the sweat out of my eyes.

I had a little ceremony where I placed all the gels shampoos and conditioners into a box and threw the lot away. The bin was empty, I opened the lid and threw the box in hard, there was a reassuring thud and sound of clutter and a beautiful feeling of letting all of that go ahhhhh
I also remember what added to the liberating feeling, was knowing that I would never have to make an appointment with the hairdresser again. Quite strange but good after a lifetime of appointments. No more depending on and paying others, the satisfaction of shaving my own head, self made man! Ahhh
