I hate eBay and PayPal!!

I rarely use eBay or PayPal because I always run into major problems when I do.   I saw a good deal on Mach III blades on eBay and thought I'd get them under the "Buy It Now" option.   I lost my credit card a few weeks ago and had to close the account.  That was the card I had registered with PayPal.  So I go through the extremely cumbersome process of registering a new card, only to be told that I now had to register for an Expanded Use Number, which was going to cost me an additional $1.95 (and there didn't seem to be any choice in the matter).  Went through all that only to find out at the end that I'm not going to know what the Expanded Use Number is until it appears on my next credit card statement!   WTF???  I want to make this purchase TODAY, not a couple of weeks from now when my statement comes in!  I thought eBay and PayPal were supposed to be a convenient way of purchasing things!!

Yeah e-bay/paypal can be a disappointment. 

I got duped on there last month-  I was selling an item on there for the first time and an e-bayer with an excellent five year 'buying history', A+ rating etc. bought it.  I got an e-mail from paypal saying the funds were deposited in my paypal account, so I mailed the item to the address provided...
Turns out some hacker had stolen her account and sent me a phony paypal e-mail.  So I basically got robbed.  I can't call the cops because the address is in africa. 

Be careful using e-bay.  or at least stay on your toes.

Almost the same thing happened to me, but I was able to get UPS to intercept my item and return it to me, so I ended up losing out on the original shipping price, plus another 15 to return it to me.

My old lady won't touch pay pal for that reason....she was one of those women who got her account hacked. Personally I don't trust any online pay services. Been burned too many times by companys that do stuff like taking double payments. Even if it shows on your statement you gotta pay to get it back if they dispute it with the bank.

I have used E-bay twice the frist time was good, got what i purchased, in no time. the second package never received, talked to e-bay and the wouldn't refund me the fuckers
