Another distressed head

OK, maybe not that distressed.
However, I'm quite curious about shaving my head. I would do it, but I still would like to clear some stuff about it before moving forward. So, I'll ask some questions and post some pictures and we'll see.
My father is completely bald, and I had the predisposition since before I knew about it. But then, I went through some stressful new situations that made me lose a lot of hair reasonably fast, since 6-8 m.o. pictures don't show me as bald as 1-2 m.o. pictures. So, I wanted to take some action. What I did was buzzing my hair up to a #2 razor, I guess. And it was the shortest I ever got. Take a look.

I'm quite concerned about my hairline, since it is quite asymetrical. I was quite comfortable with the buzz cut, but the fact that it was quite asymetric made me a bit uneasy with it. And shaving is, for now, an option that still has to be weighted.
I'm also concerned with looking like one of the furless cats, or a bond villain. For what's worth, I'm 21 y.o.
So, what do you guys have to say about my head and baldness?

Hmm furless is unlikely. Bond villain is a slight possibility, but really the villains were always way cooler anyway.
I say go for it. The worst that could happen is you don't dig it, and you let it grow back. I think you're more likely to get hooked on the look and feel of it though.

Welcome! I say give it a try; what do you have to lose? (except maybe more clumps of hair) Good Luck!

Maybe try a no. 1 grade first and see how you like it ? You hair in the photo looks too long and a shorter cut would eb very sharp. Then it an easy step to hit the razor and in 6 or 7 days it grows back to a buzz, if you let it

Yes there is a small asymmetry in your hairline as there is in your face. It is however much less than the asymmetry in my face and many other people's faces.
I tend to agree with chgobuzzbald -- try a #1 buzz and see what it's like or shave it if you want to. After you buzz it you'll probably want to shave it anyway.
I gotta say though --
you look absolutely fine as you are and any asymmetry is not noticeable by others -- only you
. There are lots of people that we deal with everyday that have asymmetric faces that we don't recognise as asymmetric -- just look at people you know with an eye critical to their asymmetry and you will see.
Actually, your face is way down the symmetrical end of the symmetric/asymmetrical continuum and is pretty handsome you lucky bugger. Stop worrying about nothing.
On the other hand it is good to be free from the tyranny of hair -- you can feel a great feeling of freedom by cutting it all off.

I see what you are talking about and I say go ahead and try it if you are thinking about doing it I am in the 9th grade and shave my head full time now and absolutely love it. So do what will make you happy, but don't let losing your hair take over your life I say accept it and be proud

I went to the barber and buzzed it to a #1 guard.
My baldness became even more apparent. I didn't like it. Went home and shaved my hair off with a razor. It's funny and weird, and I'm still trying to adapt to the peer comments. I took a picture of it for you guys to see.
However, I'm a bit concerned with the mark I have in the back of my head, since is quite big. I'll post it on another reply because I'm having a hard time with attachments yet. So, the slylyness.

Welcome to SBG ! IMO, I think your 2013 new year just gotten better by shaving your head
Looks good, remember the 30 day rule. If not, keep it very tight buzz until you feel ready for sly.
You look very confident and handsome in the sly pic vs. the balding pic.

It looks good to me, bro. Don't worry so much about a mark on your head. We all have marks or bumps or something less than perfect about our heads. Typically the only one who notices or cares is ourselves.

Agreed! Most guys look good with a shaved head, but then there are those that look especially good. Count yourself lucky, the style totally suits you!
