OMG!  Get out the paper bag with the eyeholes!  Don't take a step outside without one.  An acorn squash looks better than you do.

If you believe that, you'll believe anything.

No one who has asked and posted here with deep concern about a "bizarre, completely abnormal, flinch-inducing, entirely off-putting" head shape...

actually has one.

Take a deep breath.  And say, "My head shape is just fine, even if I shave it."

And since it appears you have shaved, leave it alone.

;)Ditto on what Master Ming has said.  Only keep shaving it and enjoy the freedom , and being powerful in the system of life and stars.

I don't see anything wrong with your head. It looks great sly. Keep it shaved smooth and shiny. You will love your new look and the confidence that it brings.

I was so disappointed, I thought we finally had a conehead joining the forums   ???

Mate, I can see this pointy bumpiness you are talking about, only because you were specifically referring to it, so I went looking.  If you didn't mention it, I would honestly never have noticed! That is the truth of the matter.

Having said that, hopefully you can now start enjoying the sly life, it really is as good as we say it is, once you get past any initial hang ups that you have. I was lucky enough to be completely in love with my new look, and I'm sure in no time you will be too.

So finally, Welcome to the family mate!

Hey Sporty!

I looked at this whole thread and saw at least a dozen pictures of guys with no hair on top of their heads. They all look different, some maybe a little weird.

Some have weird noses.
I saw weird eyes and eyebrows.
A few have odd looking beards.
A lot of them apparently have bad eyes.
Others have pretty strange ears.
One even has something pointy growing on his ear.
One of them even has tattoos on his face and head.
One has a blank face but looks pretty normal otherwise.

And one of them has just about every one of those peculiar characteristics.

That one is really wierd!

But . . .
Everyone of them looks . . . unique.
And every one of them looks . . . happy!

Welcome to Sly Bald Guys, Sporty!

When I was younger my Dad always teased me a bit telling me I was born with a pointed head. I had always pictured the conehead thing but when I shaved it all off I realised my Dad was telling me the truth! I have that same ridge. However I like mine. Maybe its age or the extra confidence I get from the chrome dome but I think it is what make my dome just a little unique. My Dad was a bit of a prankster and I lost him in April 2000, every time I look in the mirror and see that pointed dome I get to think of my Dad and get a little chuckle.

I kept looking at your photos and wondering...what's wrong with your head? What am I suppose to be seeing here?

Seriously...I can't figure out what you're talking about.

You might not take me seriously as i am THE guy on the fence. Apart from many other insecurities i find my long headshape one of the main reasons not to shave. But take it from me, there is nothing wrong with your head shape. I actually have never seen a guy with a shaved or sly head that made my head turn.

You have a mind problem not a head shape problem. Your mind is telling itself something that is not true. Honestly, our minds think so much bs -- don't pay it any attention, you'll just encourage it.

A bit late maybe but throwing in my two pence: Sporty, your head is perfectly fine. Bear in mind that 1) if you've just gone sly it will take you some getting used to, and 2) we all tend to notice flaws about ourselves that no one else does. For instance, I'm fairly sure that my head is slightly asymmetrical: I see it clearly in the mirror, but nobody I've pointed this out to has ever been able to confirm so far - I eventually stopped bothering long ago. Keep you head high and enjoy the wind on your scalp :)

When I shaved my head years & years ago I was surprised how many people I knew said "you're lucky. You can shave your head. Mine is all funny shaped. I could never do it". But none of them ever had! They were paranoid & had no idea what their heads actually looked like.
I've gone through phases where I'm self-conscious of the bump at the back of my head; and other times I'm happy I don't have a flat head. But I go through the same proud-worried-happy-unsure ups & downs with my tattoos, beards, physique, ..., ...
(Generally I'm pretty happy with my decisions though ;))
