Why is the board so slow?

I wrote a post and I got a red reply ,  to me this is a disgrace to the members of this fine board.  It is disrespect for all members , of not being notified of what is going on and when it will improve, or if it will improve.   I have been on other boards and found that the adm. will always state there is a problem and what is being doing about it.  I see nothing.  So I ask what the F is going on ??  I have enjoyed this board and all the members but this is sh*t!  And after making this post theman may be gone, but not forgotten !  You can take that to the Bank.

This is one of the most IGNORANT posts I've ever seen on our Forum. The Moderators on this Forum are ALL VOLUNTEERS. We have lives, jobs and Families. We are beholden to those things FIRST.

If you had been a long time member and came on here cursing the Admins like this I would have Pm'd you privately and told you to grow up ... BUT... since you came into the open Forum and acted like a jackass, I'm going to treat you like one.

I'm offended by your comments because if you knew how much time I and the other Mods spend sorting out crap from fools just like you, you wouldn't believe it. We are not here to cater to you or any other member that wants to act like this. Maybe you should have PM'd a Mod if you were so concerned. You should also know that I had two complaints about your comments. I do believe one of those comments referred to you as an "asshat". If you don't like the way we do things here, move on.

Now if you went back to what occured, and read the others posts, you would have maybe given this some thought as a Moderator.  You would have helped Tyler out for fixing the problem.     Enough said.

First off, you don't speak to my moderators like that.  My Mods were some of the first people to alert me of the slowness as well as some other valued members...all via PM.  The Mods don't have the access to help me fix the site and I don't want to put that responsibility on them. 

Second off, because you keep running your mouth, I have to now take time out from correcting the issue and write this post and delay the fix.  Because you're new here, I'm going to give you some benefit of the doubt and I appreciate that some of the members have already made the points that I'm about to reiterate:

1) If you have an issue, PM me.  I'm highly accessible.
2) The main purpose of this site is to help people, not give you the ability to throw tantrums if you don't see something that you don't like.
3) This site is FREE!  Don't like it?  You can either leave or show your support and make a donation at top.  Want something added or fixed...make a note with your donation.
4) The Mods are volunteers and have dedicated their time to do this.  If you have an issue, see point number 1.

Now, I will be back working on getting this back to it's normal speed.  When you guys see any changes, positive or negative, post here or PM me.

I too noted it was especially slow this morning. Sent a PM. Also, thanks to the moderators who deleted the spam from overnight.  I was unable to report the spam as the site was so slow, my attempts timed out.  But looks like you got them.

Seems back to normal speed this evening.

Enjoyed conversations today at an open house at work.  Quite a few bald guys came by. One fellow had his hat on, but when his wife saw me, SHE took HIS had off to show my his shaved bald head.   Nice time!

(gotta add a good bald story to this thread).

PS baking more bread tonight for a dinner at church tomorrow. Yummy.

Early Sunday morning in Texas.  Still running quite slow. 

Some weeks ago you had a feature to be able to preview a lead post by scrolling over it.  Quite useful.  However this has caused me some problems as the preview doesn't go away easily.  Makes it difficult to scroll thru posts.   I use an iMac with 10.8.2 system using safari 6.1 as a browser.

You might want to disable this feature temporarily to see if this is contributing to the slowness of the site.

I appreciate you efforts in our behalf.

I gave it plenty of thought before I wrote that. Maybe you should take your fingers off the keyboard for a while and put your diarhhea of the keyboard away. Look at the comments after mine to see some of what others think... and that doesn't include the PMs I got about you. I got more than a few PMs thanking me for posting this to you. My record on SBG stands for itself.... as does yours.
