Baldan, you are looking at this all wrong. The Bald Head is your attention get-her. Example: Women-Nice Rack, Guys- Bald Head. The Bald Head can get you noticed, your aura, personality, smile, etc. will be what keeps the other person interested. There "may" be some women that discriminate bald people, but I think you will find most don't really care about hair. As the Shro said, its more the "You" factor.

Baldan,  I wouldn't worry about any of this.....

Baldan, if you're just curious...that is an interesting question...and, yes, chances are that somewhere out there it is possible that this could cross a misguided, shallow lady's mind.

If you're somehow distracted and/or overly concerned or WORRIED about it....

It's funny, I think most of us know the answers to questions like these. I think a lot of us are just looking for vaildation from others rather than just trusting our gut on what we view as correct.

Baldan - I think you will find that, in general, women are fairly open minded. In my experience they have a lot fewer hangups on how their girlfriends perceive them for dating a certain guy. Whereas us guys are guilty to a certain extent of judging a guy's "manliness" or whatever term you choose by how much of a trophy their girlfriend is.

A lot of women out there have never dated a sly guy. Most of those women would be open to the idea of doing so. Some more so than others; a lot of women just like something new and interesting and your bald head might be one of those things! And others may be a bit more reserved, like the last girl I was dating, but when they get to know YOU and not your bald head, it's smooth sailing.

I remember, when I was 19 and before I started losing some hair, a girlfriend once told me that she would never date a bald guy. I laughed with her, because I knew my time was coming, for I am my father's son. And it was just another one of those things that convinced me that she was a fairly mean-spirited person in general; it was one of those moments where I knew things wouldn't work out between her and I, and not just because I was convinced that I too would be bald some day.

So yes, I am sure there are women who would never give a bald guy a chance. Just like there are guys who don't date women with tattoos on their arm or people who don't date other people because of their race or the economic class they were brought up in. It's a stupid hangup to have, and in the end, the people who are restricting themselves are only hurting themselves.

But again, fear not. Most women are open-minded, and although a few of those open-minded ones take a bit more coaxing and massaging than others may, they just might be worth it.

And stop looking for reasons to not be confident!

Every woman I've queried on the subject has not felt that bald was a turnoff.  Actually, it was multiple women who encouraged me to shave my head.

I guess it depends on what you mean by bald--balding or totally shaved.  Either way, many women don't care that much.  It's more important to keep yourself well-groomed and interesting.  From a biological perspective, it doesn't make sense for a woman to turn away a man just because of a normal and natural male process, since that guy is just as likely to be a worthy partner as any other.  Although if you're sly, that's one more thing that stands you out from the usual barrage of bore. :)

Baldan,  I wouldn't worry about any of this.  You're a young, good looking guy.  I'm sure you'll attract your fair share of women.  The good thing is that you'll know if there's a real attraction, it's because of who you are and not what is or is not on the top of your head.  Hey, isn't MagmaBabe from across the pond too.  Maybe she can set you up... just kidding MB.

Haha, I hope so Stew...my friends would eat Baldan for breakfast and still be hungry!  >:D

Guess thats true in a lot of things in life... and in this instance its true. I know what I believe to be the answer (or at least MY answer), just like validation from other likeminded people.

And stop looking for reasons to not be confident!

Trust me, im not looking for reasons to not be confident... I AM glad I went sly and I feel MUCH better about myself than I ever did (apart from when I was a teen and I took hair for granted!!) just wanted to see what others thought on the subject.

REGARDING MY NEW NON-HAIRDO PICTURE ON FACEBOOK...

Im on Facebook and I uploaded my newest pic as my profile picture and a girlfriend of mine said the following...

"where's your hair gone???"

To which I replied....

"um... what can I say... I er... wanna be more aerodynamic!!"

She then said

"...it was also a shock... but getting used to it now.... liking it!x"

Then went on about how she misses my face around Croydon (a town where we used to go clubbing)

so you see, bald for me is better... just wondered what everyone else thought about what they THOUGHT the opposite sex initially think when you first meet them.

And then I read what Chap007 wrote which I think is a great way of looking at it...

when I was born, I had a full head of hair, when most babies are born bald, and grow hair soon after birth. I am going backwards, had it, then shaved it, and look better than ever!
