Hi!
It is a bit more complicated than the title says.
First off I had long hair for like 7 years and it was because I was going bald (was like 15/16 or so) but after that it really grown on to me. I really loved the long hair how the wind flows (a lot more things I just don't have words to explain it as english isn't my native language).
Then came the days when I started to get bald on my top which long hair couldn't hide and it really started to bother me. I looked bad in pictures etc.. Not that it matters but it brings me to the last part.
Today I shaved my hair (had a 0.7 whisky last night to get the confidence up - didn't help) and now... Well I really don't know.. Is this look good for me or should I grow my hair back and look for some help with doctors or hair transplants etc...
I don't really notice much that I have shaved my head as I spend most of the day behind a computer, but when I see myself in a mirror or in a reflection of any kind for that matter.. I see a different person..
Basically i would like neutral people thoughts on this matter.. Without knowing how I looked before.. Does shaving head fits me?
I would really appreciate some insight..

P.S. This is my first shave (Was a bit scared so some spots might be unshaven at least with hand I can feel them)..

Welcome. Bald definitely suits you, and must be a huge improvement on the skullet you describe. Take the 30 day challenge. You won't look back. Keep us posted.

I will definitely keep shaving my head till the end of the month anyway. Just see how I fell about it but the main reason I did it is still the look, as more and more people start to tell me that I just don't look good in a camera and then I noticed that I started to tell that to myself and started to avoid them..
It really isn't that I am not a confident guy as I have done things that most guys might not even dream about, but that is the thing that mostly you can't see that in pictures.. All people see are the bald spots on your head.. makes me laugh now when I say it.

I will try to keep you guyz posted

and maybe even become a real member of community.. However I wan
t honest answers in this topic.

We at SBG.com will ALWAYS give honesr opinions. Most of us have been through the mill of mpb and know only too well the feeling of hopelessness, followed by the elation of that first shave, and then the doubt - "have I done the right thing?" "Does a bald head make me look like an idiot?" "I wonder what people are saying behind my back?"
Taking the 30 day challenge is not just about getting used to your new do, it's also about getting used to the new (and improved) you. If sly isn't for you, you can always grow it back.
Your pictures look perfectly normal to me. If I'd seen them elsewhere, the bald head wouldn't even have registered. It may be that I'm biased, but you look like a natural baldy. After a month, you will feel like you never had hair. I'm sure the other guys will chime in soon and offer more advice. All of it will be honest.
Good luck, bro.

You've got nothing to worry about for appearance. Even being just shaved one day, it looks great and natural.
I think, however, you are not comfortable to have shaved - I write that because you indicate your are more concerned about what others are saying.
Drugs, transplants or artificial hair are not solutions. They will temporarily hide the situation as long as you keep spending the money. Your scalp should not be demanding ransom from you.
So if the temporary and expensive options aren't the solution - what's left? Two choices: Balding or Bald.
You can be Balding and let your hair have control of your life, or YOU can take charge of your life and be Bald.
And since you look really good Bald, doesn't seem to me like there's much of a decision to be made.
It will be a surprise whenever you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror, but after 30 days you'll be totally comfortable with "that" guy.
Glad you're here. Stick around and contribute. Always good to hear how things are going for guys in their first 30 days. I wasn't there all that long ago.
Best thing I've done for myself in a long time.

Trac, you look great.
Listen to the guys that have posted. You know you are getting the truth from us as we have nothing to gain from lying to you -- unlike people who will try to sell you on drugs or transplants or other "systems".
Give it the 30 days. In the unlikely event that you're not liking it, it'll grow back. You've got nothing to lose.

Welcome Trac 3.
You show some 'fur' on your back, so you might be able to grow a decent beard quickly. I always appreciate a beard with a bald head. They seem to go together. Just a thought.
You've not shown the before, but a bald head looks much better than thinning hair, so I'll say is looks great. Nice symmetry on the head. In a few days, you'll get the smoothness down pat. It will look even better.
You'll also get used to the look yourself. I still find myself spotting my bald head in reflective glass and I've been at this over 6 months!

Trac. You look a natural. Give it the 30 days. NEVER EVER consider hair systems or transplants. As Sly Bear says the only winners there are the charlatans selling their hocus pocus.

Everyone before me has said it like it is. I think the sly look really suits you. You said you feel some long spots still, but don't stress mate. You will be the only one that will notice them, unless they were to get close and actually looking for them haha. You will get better within a few shaves and soon you will get getting close to the perfect shave that we all love!
Best of luck with your 30 day challenge, feel free to jump in to the conversations, none of us bite... too hard...

Welcome to the bald brotherhood Trac. You have the head and face to carry the shaved dome really well. It is only a matter of time before you grow into the look. Shaved smooth is a lot better than thinning.

Looks pretty damn good pal. You sort of remind me of myself in terms of head shape/colour etc I think it looks slick. Now wear it with pride and begin to master your technique. You will have the sharpest most smoothest head in your city. Good luck
