Agreed! I'm a huge fan of my Ray-Ban Clubmasters (seen in my profile picture). I chose them specifically when I was thinking about going with the shaved head. I like these particular frames because they're very much of a 40s-50s-60s style that is really coming back right now (in large part due to Mad Men fame).

Don't drive myself, so don't notice that drawback.Agree with you - they take ages to go back to normal when coming indoors. Still, other than that, I do like transition lenses.

It's a big drawback for me partly because my daily commute has me driving into the sun at various times of the year either going to or coming from work (sometimes both ways!) I had to get a pair of prescription sunglasses anyway.
I use a pair of lightweight prescription glasses on Nike frames for reading (got them on right now), sometimes I wear them to work or when I'm out and about as they balance out my look somewhat... more professional or more geeky depending on what I'm wearing. Never looked into getting contacts because I'm unbelievably squeamish about getting stuff in my eyes, plus glasses are lower maintenance all round.Funny though, now you reminded me how my dad - who's been wearing transition lenses as far back as I can remember - started complaining about them "no longer working properly" just after buying a new car a few years ago
OK, so I'm wearing the new glasses....
The colour in your beard is so nice!Glasses suit it too!
