At work one of the senior managers based from Lhead office came to the office and he is Sly. I have not met him before but I was standing by the printer, he nodded at me as he walked past and it was one of those looks that said he was nodding cos we were both shaved bald!
It made me smile!

Yeah...it's funny how that happens. You'd be amazed at how many awesome connections I've made just from both of us shaving our heads.

Saw a sly guy at lunch today. He's visiting our office for the week. Fully shaved bald on top and a full beard. I did not have a chance to speak with him today, but will be watching for him and an opportunity to say something.

I have to say I'm still nervous about making that connection just cause I'm bald, still learning how to rock the confidence

Yea, we do all notice one another.
Confidence will come. Just say "looks like we go to the same barber" or something to strike up conversation.

On a more humorous side, we are easy to notice, since the glare off our heads can be blinding at times

I am very shy to approach a fellow sly guy in real life, I guess I have to be more aggressive to come up with a good opening greeting. But if somebody would make the first move, I would gladly react and reply.

Some situations lend themselves to the friendly nod and greeting more than others. I just play it as I feel at the time. But it is true we are all part of a big brotherhood so why not acknowledge it.

it does feel a bit like an exclusive club.... bet hair club for men don't feel kinship because of their rugs

I don't think there's reason to be shy. I enjoy striking up chats with other bbc and they seem to enjoy it to...."who's your stylist"?, "nice haircut", "how do you like my hair"?

I went to the sporting goods store last Friday...I had a gift card and went and purchased a few shirts and caps...The guy who was at the checkout had MPB but his hair was cut to a buzz. He seemed unfriendly to the people in front of me, but when it was my turn, he said while staring at my freshly shaved head: "Those caps are good for protecting your head!" I said: Yeah, and they're stylish for the times when I need one. He then asked "Does it bother you being bald?" I said maybe in my younger days, but not now, and he said: Maybe I will just go ahead and shave my head, I need a new look! I told him that it couldn't hurt, there's nothing to lose but more hair! He said he just wanted to try something different and I told him to go for it! Interesting how even sly guys can turn jerks into ok guys once in a while!

Normally this greeting works for me... I WILL RUB MY HEAD IN FRONT OF THE GUY AND WILL SAY "WE BOTH HAVE NICE HEADS!!! LET US CONTINUE TO SHINE"... so far all i greeted laugh and we shaked our hands... I think we sly bald guys are inherently friendly and yet dignified

The nod and smile does seem to be in vogue.
I was at the gym and another sly guy walked by nodded in approval.
