"Hey fellow man-with-hair. How do you maintain your rug ?"

"Why, other man-with-hair, I merely give my life savings to a group of trained monkeys with glue, and they make me feel like a man again. Thank God we don't need to publicly admit our follicular shortcomings like those bald-headed oafs."

I'm not sure why but I'm imagining my toupee'd self being a posh butler.

I guess I'm a veteran since I've been shaving my head since the late 20th century (1999)  :*)), but back in my early days I used to strike up those kinds of conversations from time to time because I'm annoying that way.  Have anything that's even slightly unusual that I have and I'm the annoying guy who will comment on it.  Anyway, shaved heads are so freaking common anymore that it rarely even occurs to me acknowledge it anymore.
You don't know me, but I know you.

for me it's usually just the knowing nod of approval

Same here. I guess it's kinda like a sly version of a secret hand shake.

I still pop a remark to another stranger baldie that I encounter.  I will first make a quick character assessment of the person in my mind in order to decide if the comment will wash.  Usually I get friendly smiles and responses from them.  But, yes, there does seem to be an element of "understanding, or comradeship between Chrome Domers in my circles.

Agreed Waine, - I'm only 10 days into being part of the sly fraternity, but I usually try to make eye contact, give a quick smile and nod at least.

Hey there Bucks fan, looking good there!

You look like a "natural", it looks as though you have been sporting the Sly look for a long time.

Thanks, guys, I also think it looks good on me, and imagine it will be my "hairstyle" for a long time.
