I guess I'm not very adventurous. As I read through the above posts, the thought of eating anything listed doesn't appeal to me.

When I was a kid my mother made really good gravy when she roasted meats. We used to just eat "gravy bread" sometimes. Two slices of bread on a plate with hot gravy poured over them.

On one of my Sturgis trips my buddy and I stayed at a campground called Lone Star where they raised rodeo bulls. At their outdoor "cowboy kitchen" they had a delicacy that turned out to be bull testicles, The guy was doing the hard sell, "we only have 2 orders left"! I wasn't interested so my buddy bought them both to eat while we waited for our steaks. He kept bugging me to "just try one" so I took one, bit off a chunk, remembered what I had just put in my mouth and spat it on the ground under the table where the campground dog was laying. The dog took one sniff, got up and walked away.

Well, I was at a dim sum luncheon with my wine group and I tried the chicken feet--once you get beyond the appearance, and there is no disguising what you're eating--they're good.  The texture is rather similar to pickled pigs' feet, except that they're served hot.  Then I guess pickled pigs' feet aren't exactly on everyone's list of favorite snack foods either :D.

I didn't know there was any meat on chicken feet.

No, you are definitely not the only one. I would happily starve myself to death rather than eat anything that's been discussed in this thread so far.

Well if pickled pigs' feet and chicken feet don't tickle your taste buds there's a local treat that I've never tried but I've seen in stores and on bars offered as drink snacks.  Pickled pig lips! ;D  My Father once said that in the fall on my Grandfather's ranch when they slaughtered the pigs and prepared hams, bacon, etc.--the only thing that didn't get used was the oink!  As we've moved to an overwhelmingly urban society we've left behind so many things that were considered a daily occurance as an agricultural society.

It's totally understandable that in years gone by people couldn't afford to waste anything and used every part of the animal that they possibly could. I'm just happy not to have to be in that position.   :)

Razor, not to make you even queasier, but my grandmother used to make dumplings for soup by scooping the marrow out of the beef soup bones and mixing the marrow with breadcrumbs and seasonings. They were really good!

Fat is where the flavor is--of course that's a great way to make dumplings.

I love marrow soup. To me eating pork rinds is gross, they have a weird smell to them but people love them. It still suprises me when people buy cows milk. Goat milk tastes like cows milk but is slightly thicker and more creamy and if you are an ag nut like me, you know that goat meat/milk is way better in the long run than cow because of the impact and conversion ratio of food to milk/meat.
My grandmother told me stories about the depression when her family would eat robins and squirrel and small animals like that, makes me wonder what its like.

Im suprised no one has mentioned 'kitty fritters' yet or possum, coon, the like. No one has had cougar or bear or even reindeer milk? Makes me feel like a hillbilly or something
