hmm, how about Topper, and for those from New England Captain Bob, and Boston Movietime and if you want to get scary local, NH tv station has the Clyde and Willie Maye Joy Show direct from the Circle 9 Ranch! We're talking late 50's early 60's here.

I was in Germany a lot during the 80s and they were nutz about "Dallas" and "JR". I reme, ber all of the shows y'all are talking about. I'm now addicted to the ,"Seinfeld" reruns and "King of the Hill"...there are many messages if you listen.

Dallas was HUGE here, as was Dynasty. Knots Landing too, but not quite as huge. There was also a similar show called Savannah which was popular here for a while but I dont know what happened to it. It seemed to have a very short life.
Seinfeld was aired here but I dont think it was very popular. I never saw it. Speaking purely for myself, I dont understand American humour (humor) too well unfortunately, and American comedy all looks and sound the same to me, especially sitcoms.

And it's vice versa over here. British comedy is a lot like watching paint dry. Although I do get a chuckle out of Eddie Izzard.

Me too! I have the entire series on DVD. 30+ years later this show is still hysterically funny.

I live out in the country and you don't expect sophistication or even people that watch PBS...last week I moved up in the check out line of the supermarket and said,"Are you free?" The woman laughed and told me she loves that comedy...ya never know, eh.
