If you haven't left for Walmart, I suggest the Schick Hydro 5 over the Mach, it doesn't have wires on the blades and doesn't clog up as much, of it's too late, that's ok as the Mach is also a good blade.

Get that "rat" off your head - - - You are a good looking guy and you will be better looking  SLY BALD  - -

Give it a chance  - -you can always go back  - - - - - -None of us have ever gone back

Read some of  the commentary of guys who   had the "LITTLE MINK" on top for years  - -go to Sooner Steve and read about him giving up his little "RAT"

Good luck and go  for it

  • Who's the bald guy?
I think I will keep a log like Acme and let you know my thoughts and reaction to the initial sly shave and each day after for the first 7 days.

I hope you liked it.  I did that to both help other people relate with their own anxiety and to laugh at myself.  After the 7th day, anxiety was gone and now when I see people that still haven't seen me yet, I feel perfectly comfortable.  Funny it doesn't seem like it's a big deal until it's actually you.

Good luck today. You're going to really like the change. Follow the 30 day rule and you'll find the routine that works to give you the smooth dome that you want. It'll also give you and others the time to adjust to the new look.

Acme is right - in a few days, the anxiety of seeing people is gone and sly feels completely normal. You won't even think about looking "different" because your mind will quickly adjust to the sly look. I've noted in other threads that within about three weeks, I had a hard time remembering what it was like to have hair. I had a hard time even remembering what I looked like with hair.

On my way now to the hairdressers. Early apt. Can't believe how excited I am. Purchased a fusion razer to finish the job when I get home. She didn't seem to excited when I told her today was the day and I wanted her to shave it. Too bad!!!

Good luck. We're all rooting for you. If your friend does a good job with the shave, go back to her occassionally to have your head shaved.

Thanks in the parking lot!!! Not sure if she will shave it all down. Not sure I want her to since het razer won't be that great. Just looking for her to clip it as far as she can and then I will shave at home. Holy sh*t...here we go...

Enjoy--and if you so choose, this was your last day at the "hairdresser" or barber, ever!  Here on out, you're going to like your new barber a lot--you.  It only gets better.  8/31/11--an easy anniversary to remember!
