I'm so pleased that we don't have Walmart here in the UK!

I guess with the intelligence and charm she displayed, her Walmart job may well be a career high!

It never ceases to amaze me how dumb some people can be - not only to say what she said, but to even be so wrong in her thinking in the first place!

I think I speak for all of us here... you look cool sly :)

You DO have Walmart in the UK.  It goes by the name of ASDA!  Here's the lowdown on ASDA on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASDA

Still no comment back from WM concerning my complaint  O:O makes one wonder.

Honestly, this isn't worth your time or energy.  The employee was out of line, to be sure, but who cares what she thinks?  I probably wouldn't have even bothered to file a complaint about it.

She shouldn't have said what she said, but I wouldn't sweat the small stuff. No matter what you do people are gonna have different preferences. You could have brown hair, they like blonde, you have short hair they like long, or even you have hair they like bald.  ;D I always figured if only 1 out of 3 people like bald and theres 6 billion people in this world, were doing pretty good with 2 billion people.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the Past better than it was,
the Present worse than it is & the future less resolved than it will be.

It's as expected, and your right it's not worth no worries.  But I thought it worthy to report this to my fellow SBG Brethren here, to let you know anyway.

Arty Chris, thanks for the comp there buddy  O0

Hi Bruce,

Cancer survivor here as well. It's funny how going through that makes you realize how trivial hair is. Not that I had a full head of hair before chemo, but it was the catalyst for going sly. I like it better than the mess I had before, anyway.  ;)

I think most of us have had similar experiences . I would reply with a stern look saying .  " I don't recall asking for your opinion".  :x!

I was going to say, "Who the f**k asked you?" but your suggestion works, too.   ;)

1/3 of the people like me.
1/3 of the people dislike me.
1/3 of the people couldn't care one way or the other.

It's that last group that pisses me off the most.

My response?  "And here I was just thinking how rude it would be to mention that you need liposuction and a boob job, go figure."

Glad to hear it.  No one should be subjected to rudeness because of how he / she looks.

YEAH!!!! job loss is what that employee deserved.

I have SO many things to say and will try to keep it short.  I've owned my own company for years and my employee's all have had the "political correctness" and "behavior" classes to respect everyone on race/religion/disability etc.  Being disabled myself, It is a HUGE p.p of mine to have anyone say something SO rude to me or anyone I know.

I think I would have done all of the following (and previously suggested).

First, said "Lets go have a discussion with your manager"then when we got to the manager I would have raised HELL!. I would not have filed a complaint, I would have demanded the employee be either fired or suspended that day- that moment. Yeah, it's not a big deal, but that person does not know if I am bbc or with illness or anything.  They have NO RIGHT getting away with it. Sorry, but this is my soapbox.

As you might imagine, I get rude comments all the time because I'm in my chair. Sometimes, its kids looking and their mothers saying "Don't stare honey, it's rude". I then say to the parent Why not ask your child to ask why I use a chair, I can educate them".

Like I said, I could go on and on. Part of me really would want to say some of the smart a$$ comments you have all said, but anger sometimes gets the better of me...

Wow.  They got fired.  Lost their livelihood.  Possibly their family's only means of income.

And this makes you feel better...how?

I'm sorry, but after reading this thread again I'm kind of ashamed that I had anything to do with it in the first place.  Makes me feel mean and petty.
