Hey guys! I was wondering if any of you have ever been in a television commercial, sly or not? Today I had the pleasure of being a extra in a television commercial for Carpet Liquidators, the Seattle area carpet outlet I work for! It took about 5 hours to tape all the spots. I played a customer in the background.
Also, this is the second time I have been able to do this. I had done this 6 years ago for my same employer. The last time I was playing the warehouse guy, which is what I do anyway.
The commercials will start airing in about 2 weeks. So if any of you are in Western Washington or in Canada and your cable carries Seattle stations, keep your eyes open for them!
Also, when I get the CD of them, I will post the commercials on You Tube and let you know. PS, there were no speaking parts!
so your the if you need flooring person...
In real life, I am not a salesman, I am the shipping and receiving guy and the guy who takes your flooring out to your vehicle.
Be sure to post the YouTube videos. I'd love to see them.
The only time I know I've been on TV was back when I was in New England. The local news channel was doing a special on hot and spicy food and they came into an Indian restaurant I was having lunch at with a co-worker. They interviewed everyone in the restaurant, but they ended up not using my interview. When the special aired, there was about 5 seconds of footage of me filling my face. At least I didn't dribble or anything.
I will put it on You Tube!
I was interviewed and taped for a small news spot but it never made it on the air.
