sores on head
« on: August 28, 2010, 04:37:46 PM »
Hi,
My first day here!!  Ive been bald for years, so a month ago, I finally decided to let go of the mullet, and shave it all off.
While Im not 100% used to it yet, I can see it suits me much better & everyone says it looks great.
Now, the problem...Ive had numerous small scabs/sores on my head for years, and only on what was the bald part, none where hair was.  They come and go, Ive tried all kinds of shampoos, tea tree oil, but to no avail.   So even tho there is very little hair/stubble on top of my head, its hard to shave it with this  condition.
Has anyone had this problem, or any ideas how to deal with it!?
Great to be part of slybaldguys!!

Your best bet is to see a dermatologist.

Ya its best to see a dermatologist better safe than sorry.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the Past better than it was,
the Present worse than it is & the future less resolved than it will be.

See a dermatologist.  It's probably minor ... but better safe.

Assuming that it is minor, the dermatologist can prescribe something that will actually work to correct the problem.  Self-diagnosis and over the counter treatments are very hit-or-miss.
