Anyone who has been on this Forum any amount of time knows that SRV is my favorite artist ever. He is constantly loaded into/onto every music device I own.His music is timeless and could be released today and be hits. His hero growing up was Jimi Hendrix. He is probably one of the most under rated musical talents ever.A perfect day for me? A comfy chair in the shade of a big tree, a cooler of cold beer next to the chair, and SRV and Joe Cocker playing on the MP3 player.
I can't get the video to embed so...here's the link. SRV and Double Trouble, "Little Wing." I'll take his version over Jimi's any day. I was sitting in my office on duty when they announced it on the radio. The DJ was/is a friend of mine to this day. He played Little Wing.Every now and then I try to listen to Top 40 just to see what the kids are listening to, and it's kind of depressing. If I hear one more song done in iambic pentameter, and what the HELL is with all the songs that sound like a three minute commercial for binge drinking?
