Good advice here guys. This thread has been civil but straddling the line of Forum rules. I personally will pull it at the first hint of a problem.
One of the other Mods may pull it if they deem it against the Forum rules. If that happens please accept it as is.
Redgrave... others with a similar interest have come forward.... it may be better to continue the conversation in PM. -

yeh no worries. sorry iv'e never been one for forums before so it never crossed my mind. to be honest i am just glad to know that there are others here that share my interest in buddhism.

There are many different schools, thoughts, and practices around the Buddhist approach to life.
Some resources that may make your search easier include almost anything written by Thich Nhat Hanh and the podcasts located at www.zencast.org.

Being that Redgrave just asked for anyones experiences with Budhism and not "why is it better than (insert religion here)?"......I don't see a problem with this thread. Some good info has been given that I wouldnt have known otherwise.

This is true............ but as a Mod on this Forum I'm just letting everyone know that it IS straddling the rules. I have received a PM from another of the Mods and they feel they same way.
As a reminder here is #14 of the posting guidelines:
14. Political and Religious discussions tend to cause strife between members and therefore are not permitted as topics on Sly Bald Guys. You may mention political figures as it relates to being bald or head shaving, but refrain from mentioning their political reviews.
We will let it continue as long as it stays on the current course. -
