There are no deities in the sense of permanent living entities , there are deities within our minds . There is certainly heaven and hell but all within the mind and our own ease at creating such worlds .

Because Buddhism teaches impermanence this contradicts The judeo christian religions who teach permanence .

The Deities are illustrations , even the demons serve a purpose in helping us to transform our lives .
