New to forum - On day 18 . . .

So  - I decided to try the Bald look about 18 days ago.  Been really enjoying it.  I dont have thinning hair or mpb, just decided to give it a try.  A few friends have laughed, but I think it was more the shock of it then anything else . . a few strange looks, but other then that - life as normal

I try to shave it everyday - nothing worse then the sandpaper feel.  Not 1 nic to date!!

Welcome to the board!  You have a steadier hand than I.  As I have a total of 3 shaves under my belt I have had a red gusher every time...tomorrow I vow to have a blood free shave

I change my blade every 3 days.  I shave 1st with shaving cream then rest the head while I wash everything else then shave with conditioner - lets me get nice and close without nicks and irritation

Good to have you on the Sly side.  You may find that those friends who get a chuckle now, will soon be taking you aside to ask questions about shaving "THEIR" own thinning scalps.  It's a nervous chuckle, IMO, bc they are seeing a possible way out of their own hair, or lack thereof, insecurities.

Suggestion, reread the "how to shave your head" posts and information, and TAKE YOUR TIME, the "shave time" in the morning isn't a race, it's some time "to just be you"!   Slow down, prepare carefully, and enjoy this--it's not competition.

Welcome Jay, glad your shaving is coming along just fine without the nics and razor burn that accompany head shaving.  You look great bald and with confidence.  I'm sure your friend were just shocked at the bald head, but eventually they will all get used to it.  Good luck.

Welcome, I also have a full head of hair that I choose to shave.  At first people had a few comments, now after two plus months it is no big deal.  I have the nick here and there that I have to contend with, however, it is worth it to have such a great hair style.
