I'm not a twin, but I'm watching something right now containing twins and I'm curious if anyone here is an identical twin. How did that affect your decision to go sly? I've noticed twins often share the same hairstyle, so I'm curious if a decision like this is made more complicated by having a twin. Do you feel a sense of obligation to per permission from your twin to do this, and if so, did you feel like your twin must also partake in order for you to keep the look?
I have an identical twin brother and we both have the same hair pattern: MPB, very sparse on top, and mostly white, as we are in our 50s. I am clipper shaved; he is still wearing his hair long and curly over the ears and flipped up at the nape, but very neat. His top is long thin strands that he combs back from the front sometimes. I never even considered discussing my hairstyle choice with him, and never did when my hair was longer, either. He has never asked me about my hairstyle or commented on it in any way. He is a serial beard grower, on in the winter and off in the warmer weather. I know some family members think that the beard makes him look older.

So you guys don't have any sense (for the lack of a better word) "ownership" of each other? I've always been curious if twins had some, possibly unspoken, rule to avoid changes in their physical appearance that the other twin is not partaking in as well.
No, none what-so-ever, on hair styles or anything else. At some point during high school years, we developed our own individual, totally separate personalties. I think we were raised pretty well by our parents to be individuals. We have very different lifestyles...both marrried, but I have children and my brother does not, and that changes ones' perspective a lot. He is in the academic world and I am in finance. I work in a very young industry, but I perceive more peer pressure from family and friends about my clippershave status than from family.
