You don't have to give something up... you can choose to do something that will benefit someone else such as volunteering for a charity, etc.  Just a thought.

That is becoming the more prevalent practice, not denial but additional commitment.  But after the parties, parades and Super Bowl madness here, I really need to get back on track.  Lent almost looks like a holiday of sorts.  But, when all is said and done, Friends Don't Let Friends Over Do Lent! >:D  Hum, now that we've had oysters just about anyway they can be eaten,  when are the first crawfish going to come in?????
