It's your choice that's for sure. I decided to wear some hair lately to assist my job searching. Unfortunately I have received some negative comments for being sly and after a year of unemployment, I felt that not being viewed as "extreme" might help my chances of finding a job. We all have our reasons. For me, once I am employed and past the probationary period, it's coming off again!
Certain demographics might consider it "extreme", I work part time at the local Police station and there's a couple officers that are sly and they do it because they are losing there here and that's the reason why. There was an officer from a couple town's over awhile back I talked to who is bald and he was involved in a physical altercation with a burglary in progress suspect, officer went hands on took him to the ground and the guy ended up with a gash and laceration in the face area because he made contact with the broken beer bottle that he try to use on the officer. Officer was asked to grow his hair out when he took the stand because he was white and the suspect was black, didn't want to be viewed as extreme or a hate crime, this country is going to S!@#. I know in the Marine Corps they never really cared that you razored your head, and now the Army is finally allowing soldiers to razor there head mainly because of Gen Odierno is a sly guy and not some "extremist" hairstyle........I've seen plenty of 0-4's above and old salties that should've just shaved whatever remaining patch they had left and called it a day.
