What is there to be proud about - the fact that you murdered a harmless animal, probably putting it through agony just so your son could get his kicks.  As one other reply said, you yanks sure are sick.

Now how do you think the wild herd should be managed so that the number of animals is in balance with the food available, starvation???? :/O :/O :/O
Managed hunting preserves the overall health of the wild herds, while providing a legitimate and moral means of sport, and good tasty food.  Don't go teary eyed unless you've seen an animal dead of starvation because of inadequate available food.

you know what? this thread was not started to get anybody's negative opinions. we hunt, we eat what we kill.  we do not hunt just to say we killed something. we hunt for the sport. and with a bow, it is a sport. some of you who have never hunted would not understand. nor will you ever. when i take my kids hunting i teach them about gun safety. teach them about all the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives to give us the right to hunt. i get to spend time, quality time, with my kids. something alot of people take for granted. i was raised hunting and fishing. those are my some of my fondest memories. i just hope my kids will feel the same. if my boys did not like i hunting, i would spend time with them doing other things they enjoy. i have the opportunity to teach my kids about nature and how amazing god is for creating all this beauty that we can enjoy together. so just cause a few small minded people think it is wrong, i will always excersize my right to hunt. those that think this thread is wrong, or that i should not be proud, you are entitled to your opinion. i don't judge you when mine differs. i just ignore it. so please do the same for me. thank you for your time. Way to go. Not an avid hunter myself but have no problem with those who are O0 O0
Our country demands all our strength, all our energies. To resist the powerful combination now forming against us will require every man at his place. If victorious we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.

There is nothing wrong with hunting for sport.  Many of the natural predators of deer are gone from the ecosystem.  It is needed to control populations.

Not true in Minnesota--The wolves are getting out of control and getting too the deer before the hunters..
And of course wolves are protected and cant be killed................ :o
