Years ago I went with a friend of mine to an auto junkyard owned by a friend of his. He allowed my friend to place a one pound can of black powder under the dashboard with about a 3 foot length of waterproof cannon fuse. He lit the fuse and we backed way up. When it blew the car doors opened so hard they slapped against the front fenders, the windows simply disappeared. The dashboard was almost torn in half.

All in all it was great fun.
