Well, notwithstanding record heat Thursday, 92, early this morning the heaters came on--we have automatic thermostats that switch between a/c and heat depending on the temperature. I knew it the minute I woke up--my sinuses were stopped up and I was starting to get congested. My wife said the same thing. At least I had cleaned the filters so there wasn't that aweful smell of burning dust

. Near record cold is expected, granted that's only in the mid-forties for us, but the quick switch from hot and humid to what is for us cold, really messes up the sinuses.

It's been raw and cold here in CT for a while already. For those who are living with blinders on , Global Warming effects the whole weather pattern and doesn't necessarily mean we all are going to have Florida weather. It's much worse than that.
I seem to remember that some use to think the Earth was flat too.

Many noteworthy scientists are saying we're actually at the beginning of a cooling trend. Due to this, we're supposed to stop using the term "global warming" and start using the term "climate change". This global warming crapola seems to be a purely political issue. But, I suppose since Al Gore invented the internet, his scientific background qualifies him to make these precisely measured claims.

Had to break down on Friday and turn it on. The little one's got a cold. I hate winter. I need to get out of Wisconsin and move south where it's warm. Bring on the global warming.

Try Southern California. I am not 100% sure, but I don't think we even HAVE heaters here.
I once found out that my house in Malibu had a heater because someone ripped the thermostat off the wall during a party and it got set to the highest temperature possible. 200 people in a house with the heater on = bad bad night.

I guess that Al Gore guy is pretty smart after all. Did you know that 97% of all climatologists agree that humans play a role in Global warming?

31,000 U.S. scientists - 9,000 with doctorate degrees in atmospheric science, climatology, Earth science, environment and other specialties - have signed a petition rejecting global warming.

We tried our brand new oil furnace last week. We were thinking of switching to propane but changed our mind after researching the cost and the maintenance on a propane furnace. WE been turning on the furnace just to take the chill out of the house. Bring on the snow!!!! I love the cold days with snow on the ground! Don't like the short daylight hours. Whats with the daylight savings time!!! I hate the darkness at 4:30pm..
