Usually more of a Barry's Irish Tea drinker.  But when I do have coffee I like the Folger's Gourmet that I can grind myself.  I used to love the coffee in New Orleans with the chicory, but haven't had that in years (hint, hint, paulie)

Surprising there's so many Maxwell House fans here...that barely warrants shelf space in the stores here...and some of the other brands (Eight O'Clock & Chock Full of Nuts??) aren't even available in our area.

Down Under we have slightly different brands. We have Starbucks off course, but I'm not a fan.
I generally buy ground Organic East Timor (Fair Trade) coffee and it is great. Otherwise we have all the other brands such as Illy, Segafredo, Vittoria, Lavazza and so on. A really great coffee is from discount German Supermarket Aldi, their ground coffee is a great quality and really reasonably priced. I have an espresso machine and I go through about 6 cups a day. Don't sleep much but who cares.

The WAWA chain is offering "a new brew from Peru", whatever that could be.

None.  I figured if I made it through college without drinking coffee I could make it through life.

But why.?

Yes, you're missing out Tyler. Unless you drink Monster and Red Bull?   ;)

Now this is my kinda subject Koz, lol. Big time cofee drinker here. Gotta run, will fill in later.

Ok, I'm back and down to business. My favorite coffee, and one I grew up on was Eight O' Clock Coffee. It still is one of my faves, along with Dunkin' Donuts Coffee.
Those are my two "go to" coffee's. I haven't had Maxwell House in quite some time, but I do enjoy it. Chock Full is also good.
I discovered two great coffee's last year that we did not get on the East coast, one is Seattle's Best and the other is Tully's. Both have a good selection and variety, and I really enjoy the Seattle's Best choices. I will pick them up when on sale.

Right now I am using a Kroger brand (special roast) and it's not too good, you can tell by the smell and aftertaste. yech. It was cheapest, and of course you get what you pay for, lol. I will not buy it again.

I think it's an aquired taste and I'd prefer to spend my money on other things, like good beer.  Though, the funny thing is that most of the good beer I drink has coffee in it.

My taste in coffee sounds eerily similar to SaintC's.  I use Cafe Du Monde when I can get some from a visit to NOLA, or from a family member.  There's a brand of chicory coffee from Houston that I can get local in Texas too.
Some finely ground italian espresso beans for my italian coffee maker.  And anything else that looks good on the shelf of my local grocery store.

I'm like a pothead (who would use a joint, bong or a pipe), but for coffee.   I have a french press, an Italian stove coffee burner for the stove, an Arabic coffee maker and a coffee cloth from Ecuador.  I threw out my drip coffee maker with the last move.
I'm a coffee freak.

The next step is to start roasting ....    Brewing/grinding equipment is very important, but using freshly roasted beans (within the last 10 days) has a giant effect.

I think Central Market sells CDM w/ chicory.  I'm pretty sure I've seen it in their stores.

I have heard how good chicory coffee is, and I remember my Dad telling me about it when I was younger.
I was wondering how I could try some, but unfortunately I don't have a trip to NO in the plans any time soon. I'll have to check that out Red, thanks!    O0
