I used to wear them, the multi-focal kind, and found they would tear or "chip" easily. B & L now, pretty good and better than Acuvue. Only thing I liked about them was they were tinted slightly blue, made them easier to see in the container in the morning.
Had the same experience when they came out a few years back. Told my dr. not to ever give me those again.I currently wear ProClear.
You guys should try getting your eyes fixed. I had Lasic done almost 9 years ago and love it. Of course now i'm getting to the age where I need reading glasses.

I'd like to get contact lenses but now that I'm on the better side of 50, I don't want to have to wear reading glasses over the contacts. I've heard mixed reviews on them.
I remember 5 years ago I went to my optometrist to get contacts. It was supposed to be a session where I would try some and were taught how toput them in and take them out.It was a disaster. I didn't wear contacts ever since that first day I tried them onat the optometrist....too difficult for me. So I will stick with my glasses, but hey it sucksto play sports with glasses on..
As far as LASIX goes, I am in no hurry to have my cornea cut off, pealed back then have a laser put to my eye. LOL My wife had it done several years ago and loves it. Me, no hurry here. I'll keep my contacts.
