Is it important to moisturise the head before bed?

I am wondering whether it is better to moisturise the noggin before bed or let the skin breathe without it? As I workout in the evenings should I apply the bald guyz gel/moisturizer after my shower or is it just needed earlier on in the day.
Thanks guys.

How's it going IDH? Good to see you here!
I moisturize in the AM after my shower and shave. A dot of Nivea Extreme After Shave Balm rubbed all over the face and head and I'm ready to face the day.

hey irish: that's a good question. after headshaving, it's always important 2 apply some type of moisturizer. i usually apply it in the morning after my headshave. however, if U do apply some moisturizer at night make certain that U give it some time 2 "soak" in your noggin' b4 going 2 bed.

I usually just go by how I feel. If the ol' dome feels dry at night I'll apply a bit of moisturiser.
Now that summer is coming on be sure to use at least SPF15 when outdoors for any length of time. I use Kiehl's Facial Moisturiser with SPF15 protection. Not sure if this brand is available in Europe and the UK.

The climate here is mostly wet/cold, so to avert dry skin at night I put on an excellent dry skin product called Wibi lotion (500 mls which lasts a long time) from Dermadoctor in the US.
However, during the summer it can get relatively warm so I can allow the skin to breathe sans moisturizer.
Thanks guys.

In the morning I moisturize after shaving w/ Nivea Extreme balm, but before bed, I just wash with Cuticura to get the grim and oil, etc. that I accumulate through the day off. In the worst part of summer in steamy New Orleans, I'll also wash when I get home, and use a Baldguys Wipe in the day after going out to lunch. Strange thing, my dome is so shiny after just washing, it sparkles. I wash again in the morning before putting in the c-tacts and heading to the gym. Sometimes I'll put a dab of Curel skin treatment on in the winter if the heats been on and it feels really dry. Usually, I let the sweat of the workout do the job. Even though I haven't had any skin problems w/ the dome, I've always had bad oily skin--so I'm not the one to follow.

I moisturize after shaving, but that's it. I have a naturally oily skin, so there is never a chance my head will dry out after the initial 'after shave' lotion.

I guess head wipes or a good toner/astringent might do the trick for you.

Actually a cheaper trick is to take a wet paper towel at work and wipe the whole head... may sound strange but does a reasonably good job of cutting down on the grease/shine... AND free.
