Well I like ABBA and I'm not ashamed of it.
Seriously I learned a long time ago to keep my mouth shut about the kind of music I like. I mean I don't listen to dirty or hateful stuff but just not the "Famous and Approved" groups (e.g. I like ABBA and Bonnie Tyler). I even turn off the music whenever someone rides with me in my car so I don't get ridiculed. It's sad but there are some real music dictators out there who will absolutely rip you apart if you don't like EXACTLY what they like.
Music should be a very individual choice and a person SHOULD never have to apologize or hide what they listen to (unless it's really anti-social stuff). Alas we are not there yet.
